Hong Kong, March 8, 2007 - Sony Corporation of Hong Kong Limited today added a new model to its 5.1-ch karaoke DVD home theatre system series, the DAV-DZ150K. The DAVDZ150K is the first entry-level home theatre system, which supports Sonys Digital Infrared rays Audio Transmission Technology (S-DIAT) with an optional wireless kit. The DAV-DZ150K packs a host of Sonys unique technologies to deliver optimal performance, including Sonys unique S-Master Full Digital Amplifier for superb audio output and Sonys Digital Cinema Auto Calibration (DCAC) technology for ultimate installation flexibility. When utilizing the S-DIAT wireless technology with the optional wireless kit, the DAV-DZ150K can transfer audio signals through infrared light without compression or compromise to sound quality. Infrared light is used as the carrier to transmit multi-channel digital audio signals directly from front to rear speakers throughout a local area. This function allows users to enjoy more flexibility as they can choose either wired or wireless1 rear speakers according to their preference and home environment. Installation flexibility is further enhanced with the DCAC technology, which enables users to easily place the center, front and rear speakers according to the seven modes of multi speaker formation to suit their needs within the confined space of the living room. This intuitive feature utilizes a supplied sensor to measure speaker distance, level and frequency while automatically calibrating the listening environment to accurately optimize the sound field.
