You get what you pay for with the Kodak V1253. It costs anywhere in the low 200s, which is not cheap necessarily for a compact camera, but then again,... My Brother have bought this product last week... From his review I get the spec of this product... My kodak EASYSHARE V1253 This thing is cool. The video is amazing. The photos are great. I Had the V570 and the camera died after 13 months.. I owned all the docking stations and printers and accessories and this camera took the same ones. Nice pic quality but the video feature is highly disappointing , expensive accessories which are needed to use all the features of the camera.

i bought this camera today,, it was a toss-up between it and the canon IXUS 80 IS. i was sucked in by the deluxe large 3.1" display and the 12MP.

First of all, this is an excellent camera for the money. No way you can touch another 12MP CCD (i.e. without interpolation) at this price point.
