TECHNOLOGY AND DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS

[CYLINDER HEAD]

The overhead camshaft uses two rocker arms optimised in terms of weight and rigidity to activate the four valves a reliable design that allows power to build up in the compact combustion chamber for unsurpassed performance. Easy to service thanks to the slanted valve cover.

The crank drive of the world's most modern single cylinder converts full combustion pressure into smooth single power as never before seen. The balance shaft reduces vibrations to a minimum.

[ENGINE MANAGEMENT]

First Oil Filling for all KTM Engines.

Innovative engine management with electronically managed fuel injection and an EPT system (Electronic Power Throttle). The throttle plate position is electronically managed in line with the manual throttle operation, guaranteeing extremely homogenous power output. A simple switch under the seat can be used to select between three mappings: 'soft', 'aggressive' or low-octane fuel (up to 80 octanes) for long-distance journeys.

The large-volume airbox has been perfectly embedded above the cylinder and guarantees both maximum performance and efficient sound damping.
