INSTALLING OR UPGRADING "AVG ANTI-VIRUS FREE EDITION"

Step 2: The Web page for downloading "AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 2011" will be displayed:
Step 3: Click on the Green button that is on the left. It looks like this:
Step 4: Click once on the yellow bar that is displayed at the top of the Web page
Step 5: Click on "Download file" on the popup context menu:
Step 6: Click on the "Run" button of the "File Download - Security Warning" box:
Step 7: A "Verifying." box will be displayed:
Step 8: If a "User Account Control" box asks you for permission to install the software, click on it's "Yes" button.
Step 9: Click on the "Accept" button:
Step 10: Click on the radio button to the left of "Basic Protection" to darken it:
Step 11: Click on the "Next" button:
Step 12: Click on the "Next" button:
Step 13: A "Select type of installation" box will be displayed:
Step 14: Click on the radio button to the left of "Custom Install" to darken it:
Step 15: Click on the "Next" button:
Step 16: A "Custom Options" box will be displayed:
Step 17: For the "Component Selection" section, use the vertical scroll bar to scroll down to "LinkScanner".
Step 18: Remove the checkmark from "Linkscanner": Then click on the "Next" button:
Step 19: An "Install the AVG Security Toolbar" box will be displayed:
Step 20: Remove the checkmark from "I would like to set AVG Secure Search as my default search provider". Careful: this is the bottom item of the 2 items in this box:
Step 21: Remove the checkmark from "Improve my internet protection with the AVG Security Toolbar:"
Step22: The installation process will run by itself for a while:
Step 23: An "Installation was successful" box will be displayed:
Step 24: Remove the checkmark from "I agree to participate.": Then click on the "Finish" button.
