Acer TravelMate 5730 notebook offers enterprise-class performance and security Acer South Africa has unveiled the new Acer TravelMate 5730, a professional notebook that offers the flexibility, performance and security needed in the most demanding environments. "The TravelMate 5730 is the ideal tool for people on the go who are looking for a notebook that offers the perfect balance between manageability and connectivity, autonomy and security," says John Geypen, business development manager at Acer South Africa. Designed to meet the needs of the most demanding business applications, the TravelMate 5730 features the Mobile Intel GM45 Express chipset and offers an Intel Core 2 Duo processor with up to 4GB of dual channel DDRII memory. Depending on the model, the TravelMate 5730 also offers the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 advanced graphic solution with full support for Microsoft DirectX, to deliver an exceptional high-definition multimedia experience. A 15.4" WXGA wide screen lets users view 30% more information on screen, thereby allowing them to see spreadsheets, charts and email in native widescreen resolution. A spacious hard disk (up to 320 GB) offers ample space for data and applications. The TravelMate 5730 also features a multi-in-one card reader and a DVD-Super Multi optical drive.
