Waves Audio Ltd. recently announced that its MaxxAudio sound enhancement algorithms would be implemented by Altec Lansing in its new inMotion Classic iMT620, portable stereo speakers for iPhone and iPod. Using Waves technology, the new iMT620 will provide superior audio quality, besides being a portable, lightweight and compact speaker system. Even though offering an amazing sound performance by itself, the built-in Waves MX5010 semiconductor that hosts the MaxxAudio algorithms clearly enhances them. That above mentioned MX5010 semiconductor induces recording-studio algorithms that noticeably improve sound, providing the inMotion Classic iMT620 to deliver impressive sonic performance. Pre-set using Waves MaxxAudio processors, the semiconductor embeds a couple of outstanding technologies, such as MaxxBass that improves the perceived bass response, also known as resonant bass frequency; MaxxTreble for flattening down the response in high frequencies, enabling a better output in that range; MaxxVolume for dynamic conditioning and level maximization that actually keeps the gain down so the digital amplifier won't go into clipping; MaxxStereo that expands the perception of stereophony on headphones and speakers and MaxxEQ for equalizing the volume over the range of the frequency response.
