Our sporty and lightweight SLIP-ON systems offer a great balance between price and performance and represent the first step in the exhaust system tuning process. The change will be also visual as our HEXAGONAL mufflers perfectly fit the exterior line of the sporty Dorsoduro and add a clean racing image. The muffler outer sleeve is made of titanium, which gives a special hi-tech touch to our SLIP-ON system. We offer street legal version with removable muffler inserts. PERFORMANCE Measurements of the Akrapovic SLIP-ON system on the APRILIA DORSODURO 750 (without muffler insert): Power & Torque: the exhaust system modification results in a major boost in performance, delivering a solid 84.8 HP at 9540 rpm on back wheel. But the increased power isnt available just at the top of the range; the system shows its quality already from 3500 rpm up through entire rpm range. Max. increased power between the Akrapovic and the stock system is 1.8 HP at 9300 rpm. Besides this, the torque is substantially higher in a lower rpm area from 2500 rpm to 6500, and also in middle and high rpm area.

Congratulations on purchasing an Akrapovi exhaust system. Please read the entire installation manual prior to undertaking any activities related to installation of your new Akrapovi exhaust system. In case you do not fully understand the manual or any of its parts, please contact your authorized dealer! This product should be installed by someone with sufficient knowledge of exhaust systems and their installation, and appropriate hand or power tools. If you are not qualified for this work, please utilize a certified mechanic for installation. By installing Your Akrapovi exhaust system, you indicate that you have read the installation manual in its entirety and you agree with the terms stated herein. It is your responsibility to follow all installation instruction guidelines supplied with the Akrapovi exhaust system and undertake all necessary safety precautions. Akrapovi d.d. assumes no responsibility for damages occurring from misuse, abuse, improper installation, improper operation, lack of responsible care, or all previously stated reasons resulting from incompatibility with other manufacturers products and/or systems. When the exhaust system gets very hot during operation, be careful not to burn yourself on the exhaust system or parts which are in direct contact with it, even when the engine is not running. Also protect other people, especially children, from the injuries mentioned above. 5. In some cases Akrapovi exhaust system kits contain chemical products (ceramic anti-seizing grease; bolt sealant). Handle with care, do not inhale or swallow. Avoid excessive contact with skin, eyes or mucous membranes. Keep out of reach of children. 6. Before removing the original exhaust system from your vehicle, please compare the parts you received with the list of materials provided in the installation manual in order to assure that you have all the parts necessary for the installation of your new Akrapovi exhaust system. 8. USE BOLT SEALANT; Apply 3 to 4 small drops of bolt sealant onto the cleaned and degreased threads before tightening the bolts. WARNING! Avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. Do not inhale fumes. Keep out of reach of children. USE ANTI-SEIZE LEAD-FREE COPPER PASTE (black tube); Provides trouble-free and long-lasting protection against seizing, corrosion and rusting of bolts, threaded ends, nuts, joints, etc. Also protects against vibration, wear and impact. BEFORE INSTALLING, CHECK SCHEMATIC OF THE EXHAUST SYSTEM! IF ANY ITEMS IN THE AKRAPOVI EXHAUST SYSTEM PACKAGE ARE MISSING, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR AUTHORIZED DEALER. KEEP THE SCHEMATIC FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. THESE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE READ CAREFULLY IN ORDER TO ENSURE PROPER INSTALLATION AND OPERATION OF THE AKRAPOVI EXHAUST SYSTEM. THE EXHAUST SYSTEM CAN BE EXTREMELY HOT. ALLOW THE EXHAUST AND ENGINE TO COOL DOWN BEFORE BEGINNING INSTALLATION. WE ADVISE YOU TO LEAVE INSTALLATION TO A QUALIFIED SERVICEMAN. IMPROPER INSTALLATION MAY RESULT IN A SHORTER LIFETIME OF THE EXHAUST SYSTEM AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE.
REMOVAL OF STOCK EXHAUST SYSTEM: 1. 2. Put the motorcycle on a side stand, we recommend a racing stand. Make sure, that surface is solid and at. Remove the riders seat. Unscrew the marked bolts and remove the plastic battery cover and the seat cowling (Figure 1).

Unscrew and remove the marked bolts from the muffler bracket (Figure 2).

Disconnect the electrical connectors and unhook the cable for locking / unlocking the seat. Unscrew the marked bolts and remove the license plate bracket with taill lamps (Figure 3).

Untighten the bolt of the metal clamp at the muffler-link pipe joint and remove the stock muffler (Figure 4). WARNING: support the muffler with your hand during this procedure or it may fall of and damage you or the motorcycle!

INSTALLATION OF THE AKRAPOVI SLIP-ON EXHAUST SYSTEM: 1. Install Akrapovi graphite gasket into the link pipe and correctly install the stock clamp onto the link pipe (Figure 5). WARNING: use anti-seize copper paste on stock clamp bolt threads!

Attach the press on nuts onto the aditional Akrapovi muffler bracket. Install additional Akrapovic muffler bracket onto the subframe, using Akrapovi bolts and washers. Tighten the bolts to a specified torque (Figure 6, 7).

Reattach the license plate bracket with tail lamps and tighten the bolts, connect the electrical leads connectors and hook the cable for locking / unlocking the seat (Figure 8).

Reinstall the stock bolts of the muffler bracket and the plastic battery cover (Figure 9, 10).

Correctly position and slide the link pipe onto the stock collector and hand tighten the bolt of link-pipe metal clamp (Figure 11).

Correctly position the carbon-fiber clamps and slide them onto the mufflers (Figure 12, 13). WARNING: bear in mind the left offset of the carbon-fiber clamp viewed from the rear for the left side muffler and the right offset of the carbon-fiber clamp viewed from the rear for the right side muffler! WARNING: open the clamps slightly wider than the diameter of the outer sleeves of the mufflers do not scrape them along the muffler outer sleeves!

Position the mufflers correctly and slide them onto the outlet side of the link pipes.Attach the springs and tighten the bolts on the carbon-fiber clamps/Akrapovi muffler bracket joint (Figure 14, 15). WARNING: make sure, that springs pull the mufflers all the way onto the link pipes use rubber mallet if necessary to tap the connections into place!

Reattach the seat cowling and riders seat in the reverse order from the order in which they were removed (Figure 16).

Final installation: Clean grease spots: a. Muffler titanium outer sleeve: use a soft cloth sprayed with a multi-purpose spray lubricant (WD-40 or equivalent). b. Muffler carbon-fiber outlet cap: use a soft dry cloth. c. Slip-On with stainless steel link pipe: use a soft cloth sprayed with a contact cleaner, then wipe wit a soft dry cloth Cleaning will prevent spots from burning onto the surface. Do not use aggressive chemical cleaners, because they can damage the sticker.
WARNING: make sure all the bolts are sufficiently tightened. In case the exhaust system touches the cowling or other parts repeat the adjustment of the exhaust system or contact your authorized dealer. WARNING: check vehicle manufacturer manual for tightening torques (for dismounted stock parts)! IT IS NORMAL IF WHITE SMOKE COMES OUT OF THE MUFFLER ON FIRST OPERATION. DO NOT STAND BEHIND THE MUFFLER ON FIRST OPERATION. DO NOT USE AUTOMOTIVE WHEEL CLEANERS OR ANY CLEANING PRODUCTS WHICH CONTAIN ACIDIC ADDITIVES TO CLEAN AKRAPOVI EXHAUST SYSTEMS. MAINTENANCE OF THE AKRAPOVI EXHAUST SYSTEM: 1. Clean the titanium exhaust components with a multi-purpose spray lubricant (WD-40 or equivalent), carbon fiber exhaust components with soft and dry cloth and stainless steel components with soft cloth sprayed with contact cleaner, then wipe with soft and dry cloth. A change in the color of the exhaust system is normal due to the high temperatures. 2. Periodically make sure all the bolts and springs are sufficiently tight.
