BI-XENON headlamps with LED daytime running lights | BI-XENON
headlamps produce about twice as much light as comparable halogen headlamps and help make night driving, particularly in poor weather, less tiring for the drivers eyes with improved visibility. LED daytime running lights consume much less energy than conventional daytime running lights.
HomeLink universal garage door opener | HomeLink is integrated into the overhead controls and uses a simple three-button system that can activate garage doors, gates and even lights in the home.
Auto-dimming interior mirror with compass | The rearview mirror with
compass recognizes distracting bright lights behind the car and darkens the mirror glass automatically.
Heated front seats | The multilevel [1-6] seat heating system is designed to heat the entire surface of the seat; warming is initiated with a convenient control.
Auto-dimming and folding exterior mirrors | The exterior mirrors with automatic dimming recognize glaringly bright headlight beams behind the car and darken the mirror glass automatically. The manual folding feature helps protect the mirrors by collapsing inward to fit into tight spaces.

Audi side assist | Audi side assist system helps monitor blind spots, as well as
fast-approaching vehicles at a range of about 150 ft. to the rear of the car. If Audi side assist identifies another vehicle when you signal to change lanes, it informs the driver via an LED light in the exterior mirror.
Advanced key | With Advanced key, the car can be unlocked and started without removing the key from a pocket or purse. The steering can be released and the ignition turned on electronically, all without inserting the key in the ignition.
Adaptive front lighting system | Utilizing input from the steering and speed of
the vehicle, adaptive headlights pivot up to 15 degrees to allow the driver to see ahead in the dark by lighting up corners and curves more effectively.
Advanced parking system | The rearview camera offers a real-time view of the
rear parking area, while the rear ultrasonic parking sensor measures the distance to the nearest object.
A5. Audi Drive Select Package A5. Navigation Package
Audi Navigation system | An in-car computer processes GPS signals and determines the cars position, providing you with suggested routes in getting to your destination. The in-depth functionality includes radio and hands-free car phone functions by speaking the necessary commands through voice control, and a large color information display screen.
Drive select controls | Adapt the characteristics of the A5 to suit your personal preferences using the three modes comfort, auto and dynamic from extremely comfortable to decidedly sporty. Tiptronic

Tiptronic allows the driver to manually select the gears and enables gear changes to take place with minimal interruption in engine power, even during downshifts. An additional sport program delays upshifts for a sportier driving style.

quattro

Developed and continually refined by Audi, quattro offers a significantly enhanced level of all-wheel drive performance. The Audi A5 Coup a combination of style and power
Exceptional design is something youll find everywhere in the Audi A5 Coup from the beautiful lines of the exterior to the highly efficient fuel-injection technology within. An aerodynamic shape, muscular wheel arches and low-profile alloy wheels give this car a very special blend of style and performance, which is only emphasised by the choice of dynamic engines and transmissions available.

Efficiency

At Audi, doing less is something were trying to do more of. Were working to use less fuel, release less CO2 and waste less energy. Its why weve incorporated a number of more efficient technologies into the Audi A5 Coup.

Recuperation

When a vehicle brakes, the discs convert the kinetic energy into thermal energy, which is wasted as it cannot be used. With a recuperation system, like the one in the Audi A5 Coup, the kinetic energy is converted into useful electrical energy. The way it works is simple. While the car is coasting or braking, the alternator voltage is raised above the level of the basic electrical system, which enables the alternator to generate electrical energy and store it temporarily in the battery. When the vehicle accelerates, this energy is used to relieve the load on the alternator, resulting in a fuel saving of up to 3%.

Efficiency programme

The Drivers Information System in the Audi A5 Coup is available with a special efficiency programme, which offers up-to-the-minute advice on ways to help improve fuel economy as you drive. It also shows you which items in your car are using energy, and how much they are using, so you can make an informed choice about which ones to switch off.

Gear-change indicator

Small changes to your driving style can have a big impact on your fuel economy. The gear-change indicator in the Audi A5 Coup is there to indicate the optimum gear to use for any given speed, encouraging early upshifts to ensure you dont burn more fuel than is necessary.

Engines

Petrol
FSI direct-injection technology is a unique Audi innovation that was originally developed for the Le Mans 24-hour endurance race to deliver more power and torque, as well as enhanced fuel efficiency. Precisely the right amount of fuel and air are injected into the combustion chambers, enabling the engine to breathe more easily. It results in reduced heat loss and increased output, with around a 15% reduction in fuel consumption and significantly lower exhaust emissions. Weve also developed TFSI, with turbocharging, which combines FSI technology with forced induction giving cars an extra injection of power.

Diesel

We introduced TDI to the roads in 1989, marking a departure from the noisy, fuel-thirsty diesel engines of the past. And since then, weve continuously refined it, recently developing commonrail technology. Under this system, a series of piezo injectors use electrical charge to precisely control the amount of fuel injected into the engine. As well as reducing noise, this allows combustion to happen at a lower temperature, with less oxygen, which lowers emissions.

Transmissions

multitronic
Translating a drivers preferences and intentions into road performance, the multitronic transmission system entertains no compromises whether in terms of dynamism, convenience or economy. multitronic automatic transmission is available on models without quattro permanent all-wheeldrive. A continuously variable transmission, multitronic can transmit up to 400 Nm of torque and permits an exceptionally wide range of gear ratios. The result is smooth, powerful acceleration and a high level of driving comfort. And thanks to its lightweight design and a number of advanced electronic control systems that monitor gradient, road conditions and the way the driver is using the accelerator pedal, multitronic also plays an instrumental role in reducing fuel consumption.

tiptronic

The 6-speed tiptronic transmission system is a form of automatic transmission available on Audi models with quattro permanent all-wheel-drive. The technology converts high-torque engine power into both sporty performance and operating convenience, with crisp, fast gear changes, reduced weight and an optimised gearshift strategy. More spontaneous gear changes are a particular benefit, especially when down-shifting. Both in the D (Drive) and S (Sport) programme, the advanced electronics used in tiptronic respond efficiently to every driver input, helping to prevent unwanted upshifts when cornering.

S tronic

Driving is all about thinking ahead, which is just what the S tronic dual-clutch transmission does. It works almost as two separate systems, one engaging the odd-numbered and the other the even-numbered gears. So when youre accelerating in second, it has third gear waiting for you. And once you make the switch, its already thinking about fourth. With two clutches working together, you can change gears almost instantly while experiencing smooth, uninterrupted power.

quattro

Its the technology that has given Audi the edge on the racetrack ever since it was first introduced over 30 years ago a technology that delivers ultimate control whilst enhancing the sporty characteristics which make the A5 Coup so thrilling to drive. Its called quattro permanent all-wheeldrive. The principle is simple: in the same way that four brakes ensure better deceleration, four permanently-driven wheels deliver better acceleration and road-holding, pushing or pulling the car as needed, for a driving experience thats both dynamic and safe.

There are two schedules available and your Audi Centre will advise which schedule is most suited to your needs. The conventional fixed Audi Inspection Service schedule has fixed intervals for the Oil-change and Inspection Service that are based on time and distance, whichever comes first. With the Audi LongLife Service schedule, sensors take account of driving style and conditions in which the vehicle is used to indicate when the Oil-change Service is required. Oil-change Service intervals are therefore variable and are conveniently indicated via the on-board service interval display.
