This is identical to the one that came with the phone. It holds the phone snuggly yet keeps it accessible.

So far I am very happy with this refurbished 7100T that I purchased and like it allot. This so far has been one of the best phone i have used. This has be be one of the worst electronic device I have owned in several years. Nice color screen.

The upgrade process is easy. Heres an overview
1. Go to http://www.t-mobile.com/bbupgrade and download the two files that contain the BlackBerry Desktop Manager Software 4.0.1.12 and the BlackBerry 7100t Handheld Software 4.0.2.49 to your computer. 2. First, install the Desktop Manager software onto your computer. 3. Then, install the Handheld Software onto your computer. 4. Connect your handheld to the computer and launch the Desktop Manager to upgrade your handheld applications. Note: You should only connect your BlackBerry handheld to your PC after you have completed the installation of the Desktop Manager and Handheld Software onto your PC.

Instructions

1. Download the files to your computer
1. Go to http://www.t-mobile.com/bbupgrade. 2. Under BlackBerry 7100t, click the Get Software button. A new browser window opens. 3. Type in your T-Mobile phone number when prompted and press Enter. 4. Click Desktop Manager Software (4.0.1.12) 5. Click the Download button, then save the file to your computer. Write down the directory where you save it to. 6. Return to the Available Downloads list. 7. Click Handheld Software Version (4.0.2.49). 8. Click the Download button, then save the file to your computer. Write down the directory where you save it to.
2. Install the BlackBerry Desktop Manager Software onto your computer
1. If Blackberry Desktop Manager is running on your computer, please close it. 2. Go to the directory where you saved the Desktop Manager Software file that you downloaded. 3. Double click the Desktop Manager Software file that you downloaded (.exe file). 4. Click Next to begin the installation. Select your country or region and click Next. 5. Read the License Agreement carefully and, if you accept its terms, click Next. (Note that you can only proceed if you accept the terms and conditions.) 6. Type your name and company name and click Next. 7. At the Destination Folder dialog box, click Next to install to the default folder, or click Change to install to a different folder.

8. Select either Typical or Custom setup type and click Next. 9. Select the Email Integration Option you want to use and click Next. If you are unsure of which Email Integration Option or Email Message Redirection to select, Ask your system administrator. If you selected BlackBerry Enterprise Server or BlackBerry Desktop Redirector, then select the Email Messaging System that you are using. If you selected Microsoft Exchange, then select the Email Message Redirection method. 10. Click Install to being the installation. This process can take several minutes. If a previous version of the Desktop Manager Software is found on your computer, the Wizard uninstalls the previous version and replaces it with the new version. 11. After the software installation is complete, click Finish. If you are prompted to restart your computer, please do so.
3. Install the BlackBerry Handheld Software onto your computer
1. If Blackberry Desktop Manager is running on your computer, please close it. 2. Connect your BlackBerry handheld to your computer. 3. Go to the directory where you saved the Handheld Software file that you downloaded. 4. Double click the Handheld Software file that you downloaded (.exe file). 5. Click Next to begin the installation. Select your country or region and click Next. 6. Read the License Agreement carefully and, if you accept its terms, click Next. (Note that you can only proceed if you accept the terms and conditions.) 7. After the software installation is complete, click Finish. If you are prompted to restart your computer, please do so.

4. Upgrade your handheld

After you have finished installing the Desktop Manager Software and the Handheld Software to your computer, follow these instructions to upgrade your handheld.
Start the BlackBerry Desktop Manager software on your computer.

2. Connect your handheld to your computer. (If you have a password enabled on your handheld, you must type it before the handheld can connect to the desktop software.) 3. The Application Updates Available dialog box appears. Click Update Now, and the Application Loader Wizard starts. If the Application Updates Available dialog box does not open, then double click the Application Loader icon on the Desktop Manager window, and and the Application Loader Wizard starts. If you have a password enabled on your handheld, the Handheld Security Password dialog box appears. You must type your password and click Next before the Application Loader Wizard can continue. 4. Click Next at the Welcome to the Application Loader Wizard dialog box. The desktop software reads your handhelds configuration.

5. The Handheld Application Selection dialog box displays the applications, their file sizes, and the actions. If the software on your handheld is an older than the version available with the Application Loader tool, the action is Update. Verify that all the check boxes are selexted next to the applications that you want to load. 6. After you have made your selections, click Next. 7. The Application Data Backup dialog box appears. Select whether you want to back up and restore your handheld data automatically, including your e-mail messages. 8. After you have made your selections, click Next. 9. A summary window appears, listing the actions that will occur during the upgrade process. 10. Click Finish to being the process. The Application Loader backs up your handhelds data, removes the old applications, loads new applications onto the handheld, and restores your data. This process can take several minutes. If a password is enabled on your handheld, a Connection dialog box may appear during the backup and restore phase of the upgrade process. Type your password on the handheld and click Retry. Warning: Do not disconnect your handheld from the computer until the loading process is complete. If the loading process is interrupted, your handheld applications may not work properly. In this case, you must repeat the handheld upgrade process. Warning: Do not install the BlackBerry Handheld Software for any other device model than it is designed for, as is listed on the download page. 11. When the loading process is complete, the Application Loader will indicate whether or not the upgrade was successful. Click Close. If the loading process was not successful, verify that your handheld is properly connected to the computer and then repeat the upgrade process. After the upgrade is complete, you may need to turn on the radio to send and receive e-mail messages. To turn on the radio, click the Turn Wireless ON icon on the Home screen. 12. If you do not see a registration message in your inbox after you turn on your radio, then you can manually register with the wireless network. To manually register, select Tools > Settings > Host Routing Table or Options > Host Routing Table. Click the trackwheel and click Register Now. You will receive a new message to indicate that registration was successful. 13. If you use the BlackBerry Internet E-mail Service (formerly known as BlackBerry Web Client), you will need to resend the Service Books to your handheld in order to be able to send e-mail from your handheld again using the BlackBerry Internet E-mail Service. To re-send Service Books from your BlackBerry Handheld, select the Set Up Internet E-mail or E-mail Setup icon on your BlackBerry devices Home Screen or Tools menu. Click the Handheld link, then Send Service Books. To re-send Service Books from your PC, go to My T-Mobile at http://my.t-mobile.com. Click the link to Set up BlackBerry Internet E-mail. Click the Handheld link, then Send Service Books.

Troubleshooting Instant Messaging
After completing the handheld upgrade, if you receive the following error while accessing your Instant Messaging application: Error Starting InstantMessaging: Module 'net_rim_midletresumption' not found, please follow these steps: 1. Select Tools > Settings > Service Book, or Options > Service Book 2. Select T-Mobile USA IM Client Application, click the trackwheel and click Delete 3. Go back to Settings and click Applications 4. Highlight Instant Messaging, click the trackwheel and click Delete 5. Restart your device (the device may prompt you for this step) 6. Select Tools > Settings > Host Routing Table or Options > Host Routing Table. Click the trackwheel and click Register Now. 7. A new Instant Messaging application will download over the air. You will know this process is complete when you see the IM icon re-appear on your devices screen
