| The only reason I gave 3-star rating is small transmission distance. I was expected a little better range since it was advertised as "Up to 18 miles". | |

What does Long Range mean?
Numerous factors affect the range of Remote Camera Trigger. Following is a description to help you understand these factors. 1. The advertised range is the maximum range you can get, which will occur only under ideal conditions. Ideal conditions are: Fresh Batteries Flat, open terrain (no hills, trees, build ings, or tall vegetation between radios). Example: operation over water. Both radios are outside (not indoors). 2. These conditions will reduce the operating range: The batteries are wearing-out. There are hills, trees, or buildings be tween radios. One or both radios are inside a building. One or both radios are inside a car. The amount that your range is reduced will vary depending on the combination and severity of the above factors.
