Cuisinart ICE-50BC Supreme Ice Cream Maker
The Cuisinart ICE-50BC Supreme is a high-end ice cream maker that is capable of producing 1 1/2 quarts of delicious ice cream, sorbet, or frozen yogurt in one go. This model is self-freezing, hence there is no need to pre-freeze the ice cream ingredients or a separate bowl you can make ice cream on a whim and a single batch takes approximately 40 minutes from start to finish if you are using cold mix and approximately 50 minutes if your ingredients are warm.
Even though this is a semi-professional machine, it is still meant for home use and the final product is somewhat softer than the ice cream that you might be used to buying. In order to further harden the endproduct, you might want to leave it in the freezer for an hour or until it gets thick enough to your liking. Another minor drawback is the fact that you will need a dedicated place for the Cuisinart ICE-50BC Supreme in your kitchen since moving it to a new place means that you will have to wait at least 24 hours before being able to use it.
However, this ice cream maker has quite a few advantages over similar products since it allows you to make a new batch of ice cream right after you are finished with the previous one. The transparent lid enables you to keep an eye on the process while the machine is in operation and through the opening you can add chocolate chips, nuts, fruits, or other extra ingredients towards the end of the cycle. Washing the machine is also extremely easy the base can be wiped with dry cloth, while the bowl, paddle, and lid are easy to remove and can be washed by hand in seconds.
