During a three month study, 62 people (33 women and 29 men), ranging from 20 to 63 years old, were involved in tests that evaluated the various levels of muscle tension resulting when office workers engage in other tasks while using the telephone. Connection Carefully remove the transport protection strip that protects the battery from discharging prior to sale. Area of use The PMR wristwatch is intended for indoor and outdoor use. Although splash proof it but must not be soaked in fluid, or treated violently or otherwise carelessly. Under ideal conditions ie: line of sight with no obstructions between the PMR units and the aerial rotated, the range can be up to 3 km. Charging The symbol | in the display indicates whether it is time to recharge the 3.7V 650mAh Li-ion battery. Connect the electrical mains adapter to the socket on the side of the PMR unit and to an electrical wall socket. The animated battery symbol will stop (or show F ) when charging has been completed. To fully charge the battery will take up to 6 hours, this will allow approximately 40 hours standby or 2 hours talk time. These operation times apply at normal ambient temperatures.

The equipment must be charged initially for 24 hours before use. The unit will be warm to touch while charging. This is normal and completely safe. Headset Use only the supplied DORO original headset, the PTT button located on the headset cable can then be used to transmit. Timer 1. Ensure the walkie talkie function is turned off. 2. Press and hold until the display shows 00:00. 3. Press v to start the timer. 4. Press v to stop. The elapsed time will be displayed (the top row shows hours and minutes). 5. Press V to reset the timer to zero. 6. Press and hold until the display returns to the standby mode. To communicate 1. Make sure that you use the same channel and transfer code. See below. 2. Press and hold PTT (Push To Talk) while speaking. 3. If nobody answers, send a ring signal by pressing.
If the handsets are unable to communicate it may be because you are using different channels or transfer codes, the battery is running low or the handsets are too far apart (rotate the aerial). The volume can be adjusted using v/V. Channel lock Channel lock ( w and v/V buttons) are turned off/switched on by pressing w. Select channel All PMR equipment share the same available channels. If the selected channel is in use an alternate channel can be selected, the selected channel will be displayed in standby mode. 1. Press w. 2. Select the desired operating channel using v/V. 3. Press PTT to confirm. Select transfer code There are 38 transfer codes available which can be used to filter out unwanted signals. However your conversation may still be overheard irrespective of which code is used. To enable communication in both directions the same transfer code must be used on all handsets. In order to communicate with equipment that cannot select a transfer code select 0. 1. Press w repeatedly until the digits in the top right hand corner of the display flash. 2. Scroll to the desired transfer code using v/V. 3. Press PTT to confirm. Monitor function The monitor function can be used in weak signal areas to locate any other signal being transmitted. 1. Press w and V at the same time. 2. To stop monitoring press PTT.

Voice control (VOX) This unit can be used without having to press the PTT button to transmit. By setting the correct level, the PMR unit can determine whether or not you are speaking. Test different settings until the sensitivity selected is acceptable. Please note that however accurate your setting there ia always a small risk that increased noise from the surroundings may activate the transmitter, this may result in the initial word being unclear. If the PMR unit transmits by itself the sensitivity may be set too high and will need to be adjusted. The transmitter will shut off two seconds after you have finished speaking, the display will show VOX when the function is active. 1. Press w repeatedly until VOX is displayed. 2. Scroll the required sensitivity using v/V (OF=off, 1=insensitive.3=most sensitive). 3. Press PTT to confirm. Scanning You can scan all available channels to locate any signal being transmitted. Once a signal has been located press PTT to stop scanning. While searching battery power consumption will be significantly higher than normal. 1. Press w and v at the same time. The unit will start scanning. 2. To stop scanning press PTT. Call melody You can select different call melodies. 1. Press w repeatedly until CA is displayed. 2. Select the desired setting using v/V (OF=off). 3. Press PTT to confirm. Termination tone (Roger tone) You can activate a tone which is heard when you release the PTT button. This can be used as a reminder to the other person that you have finished talking and are waiting for a response. 1. Press w repeatedly until ro is displayed. 2.
