Your new Acoustasonic Pro Amplifier delivers the Fender tone and quality that todays musicians demand and recording engineers have depended on for more than 50 years. Two independent channels with their individual tone and volume controls are voiced for acoustic instruments and vocals. The onboard Digital Signal Processor provides 100 combinations of studio-quality effects. Four PRESET buttons allow instant storage and recall of
favorite DSP effects. The Acoustasonic Pro preserves the natural voice of acoustic instruments with precision tone management tools and 160 watts of clean power. PHASE reversing switches reduce feedback at two points in the signals path and a pair of NOTCH FILTER controls can be used to select frequencies at which feedback is suppressed. The ATTACK control is helpful at attenuating the harshness that piezo guitar pickups
INSTRUMENT CHANNEL - (Items 1-13) 1. INSTRUMENT - Plug your guitar/acoustic instrument in at this jack. 2. PHASE - This push button reverses the phase of the instrument channel, useful for reducing noise associated with dual pickup instruments. 3. TUNER ONLY - This push button mutes the instrument channel outputs and sends the signal to the tuner jack only for silent tune-ups. The mic channel is active while using this feature. 4. GAIN - Adjusts the volume level of the instrument channel. 5. TREBLE - Adjusts the high-frequency level of the instrument channel. 6. MID - Adjusts the middle-frequency level of the instrument channel. 7. BASS - Adjusts the low-frequency level of the instrument channel. 8. CHANNEL SEND - Adjusts the amount of instrument channel signal sent to the on-board DSP effects. 9. RETURN - Adjusts the amount of DSP effect altered wet signal mixed with the dry unaffected signal. Rotating the knob clockwise increases the amount of the wet signal. When the MIC FX ON is OFF, this knob controls the wet/dry mix for BOTH the instrument and mic channels
10.ATTACK - This control is designed to attenuate the harshness that piezo pickups produce when vigorously strumming with a pick. Rotating the knob counter-clockwise increases the attenuation, whereas a clockwise setting provides a more natural response for finger picking. 11.STRING DYNAMICS (Patented) - This knob controls a dynamic tone shaping filter on the instrument channel. Rotating the knob clockwise decreases the instruments high-frequency harshness when playing at high volume levels while maintaining crispness when playing at lower levels. 12.FEEDBACK NOTCH 1 - This control is designed to attenuate feedback noise between 63-400 Hz in the instrument channel. By SLOWLY rotating the knob, locate the unwanted frequency to reduce the noise. 13.FEEDBACK NOTCH 2 - This control is designed to attenuate feedback noise between 150-825 Hz in the instrument channel. By SLOWLY rotating the knob, locate the feedback frequency to reduce the noise.

can produce while the patented STRING DYNAMICS filter minimizes tonal contrast appare n t between high/low volume levels. The microphone channel supplied with phantom power, accepts two types of input, balanced XLR for low-impedance microphones and 1/4 inch TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve), for balanced or unbalanced, high-impedance microphones or line-level equipment. Front panel AUXILIARY jacks can be used to plug in re c o rd e d
accompaniment and the TUNER switch allows muted tuning through the instrument channel to a suitable instrument tuner connected at the rear panel tuner jack. The rear panel also features two sets of EFFECTS LOOP jacks for the connection of external devices and a transformer balanced XLR LINE OUT jack for connection to external power amps and sound consoles. Please read through this manual and keep it for future reference.
MIC - LINE/INST CHANNEL - (Items 14-22) 14.MIC - Plug your microphone in here. This three pin XLR balanced female input connector is intended for lowimpedance microphones. 15.LINE/INST - This 1/4 inch, TRS, balanced input jack is suited for use with equipment having a line level output such as high-impedance microphones, keyboards, drum machines, etc. It also accepts unbalanced TR input cables. 16.GAIN - Adjusts the volume level of the mic/line channel. 17.TREBLE - Adjusts the high-frequency level of the mic/line channel. 18.MID - Adjusts the middle-frequency level of the mic/line channel. 19.BASS - Adjusts the low-frequency level of the mic/line channel. 20.CHANNEL SEND - Adjusts the amount of signal from the instrument channel sent to onboard DSP effects. 21.RETURN - Adjusts the amount of DSP effect wet mic/line channel signal mixed with the dry overall loudness of the Acoustasonic Pro amplifier. Rotating the knob clockwise increases the amount of DSP effect wet signal. This knob is only active when the MIC FX ON LED is illuminated. 22.MIC FX ON - This LED illuminates when the instrument channel effect and the mic/line channel effect are independent of each other (presets 79-99).
23.PHASE - This push button reverses the phase of the Acoustasonic Pro amplifier. It is useful for eliminating certain noises when playing in small environments. 24.MASTER VOLUME - Adjusts the overall loudness of the Acoustasonic Pro amplifier. 25.AUXILIARY INPUT - Unbalanced phono (RCA) input jacks designed for use with a drum machine, tape player, CD player, etc. and can be used for playing prerecorded music. 26.AUX LEVEL - Adjusts the volume level of the auxiliary input. 27.POWER INDICATOR- This red jewel illuminates indicating the Acoustasonic Pro is receiving power. 28.DSP EFFECTS - This data wheel selects among the various on-board DSP digital effects. These effects will only be heard if the DSP send and return knobs on the respective channels are turned up. See the listing of DSP effects on the next page.
DSP Effects
29.LED SCREEN - This LED screen displays the number of the active effect. 30.FX PRESETS - These buttons save and recall four user-assigned effects from the 100 effects listed below. To save an effect, choose a favorite effect with the select wheel. Press and hold any desired FX preset button until the LED screen blinks, indicating that the preset has been saved. To recall a FX preset simply press and release the desired button. 31.SELECT - This data wheel selects one of 100 on-board digital effects. These effects will only be heard if the DSP send and return knobs on the respective channels are turned clockwise above minimum. NOTE: When switching ON your Acoustasonic Pro amplifier, the DSP effect automatically defaults to the #1 preset.
Below is a listing of the Acoustasonic Pros DSP effects. To choose among these various effects simply rotate the select dial to the desired effect. Both the DSP send and DSP return knobs must be above their minimum positions in order for any effect to be heard. Effects 00 thru 78 are identical for both the instrument and mic channels and effects 79 thru 99 are different for the instrument and mic channels.
