The VF80 EX and VF160 EX continue the Fostex tradition of offering high-value self-contained recording solutions which simply offer musicians everything they need. The VF80 EX is ideal for guitarists and musicians wanting a compact solution capable of capturing ideas and songs with minimal fuss. The superb amp simulators and flexible input stages make for easy sound capture. The VF160 EX meanwhile is a powerhouse offering a larger mixer with 3-band EQ, up to 16-track simultaneous recording tracks and powerful ADAT/PC audio mixing. Both VF EX series machines offer superior un-compressed digital recording to interal hard drives.

A total 8 track recording studio - complete with digital mixing, digital effects including stunning amp simulators and CD mastering. 8 main tracks plus 16 'Ghost' tracks mean you can record different versions of vocals, drum grooves, guitar parts, etc., and choose which of the 8 tracks you wish to reproduce and mix. Theres a built-in Training Mode with auto muting of sounds at the centre of the stereo mix and slow down of playback without altering pitch; high-gain input stages with balanced XLR / unbalanced jacks, trim control and switchable +48V phantom power; a great 2-band EQ with 36 presets; and a 99 mix scene memory allowing you to store a complete mix for later recall or scene sequence. Mastering to CD is a snap. Bounce tracks 1-6 to a stereo pair with just one button push and add unique Mastering Effects.

MASTER EFFECTS With the VF80 EX you can add dedicated digital master effects whilst mastering tracks 7 & 8 to an external stereo recorder or internal CD. Choose from 10 usable presets which will enhance any mix. ADA T/PC MIXING The VF160 EX can be used as a full function ADAT/PC audio mixer with its mic amps, digital EQ and FX processing available for inputs and simultaneous monitoring of audio tracks with fader control. INPUTS Both VF80 EX and VF160 EX offer two high-gain inputs with balanced and unbalanced connectors, trim control and switchable +48V phantom power. EFFECTS Fostex A.S.P. technology digital multi-effects offer an arsenal of creative sound processing. In addition, the VF160 EX features channel and master compressors.
Offers full 16-track random-access digital audio recording to hard disc, digital mixing, audio editing, effects processing and CD mastering with 16-bit audio resolution in a compact table-top workstation.
