General Imaging Releases the J1050 and J1250 Compact Digital Cameras

J1250 Compact Digital Camera General Imaging
General Imaging recently announced two new digital cameras, the GE J1050 and J1250, to be exact. Both cameras sport Pan-Capture panorama mode, auto scene detection, blink, smile and face detection, image stabilization and in-camera red-eye removal. As you can see, the cameras fit the exact compact camera feature trend that happens recently. Without reading the specs, I guessed that at least one of them has a 12 something megapixel sensor, and so it is. The only feature that one won't find in the all common compact digital camera is the Pan-Capture that allows the user to create seamless panoramas without the need of any additional post-processing using a stitching software. The J1250, pictured above, an all-in-one, sports a 12.2-megapixel sensor to allow better image enlargements for printing, that shoot through a 5x optical zoom lens. The J1050 only boasts 10.1 megapixels but also has a 5x optical zoom. Also, both cameras have a 0.8" thin design, a 2.7-inch TFT LCD screen that comes with Auto Adjust Brightness for better visibility indoors and outdoors and a 230,400-dot resolution. Lens focal range for these two is 35 - 175mm as equivalent to FF35, therefore offering more tele than wide. "General Imaging offers consumers a tremendous value, and our new J Series is no exception," says Paul Meyhoefer, General Imaging's vice president of Marketing and Product Planning. "With the J1050 and J1250, you don't need to spend a lot of money for a camera that's easy-to-use and includes the latest advanced features to help you take better photos." The only noticeable difference between the J1050 and J1250 is the resolution and the price, with $129 for the former and $149 for the latter.
