If the Akrapovic EVOLUTION exhaust system is more than you need and you are not going to be using your bike exclusively for sharp MX competition, we recommend the Akrapovic SLIP-ON system. Recreational riders will also enjoy the performance increase which the system was designed to provide, they will be able to perform the simple installation themselves and it wont make too big a dent in their wallets. The system package includes a FIM MX 98 dB and a FIM ENDURO 94 dB noise dampers. CONFIGURATION We use the finest quality materials in the production of our exhaust systems. The outer sleeve is made of titanium, as is the outlet cap of the muffler. The only exceptions are the inlet cap and the interior of the muffler, which are made of stainless steel. A very short cylindrical link pipe, also of stainless steel, is welded to the inlet cap. The system is attached to the stock header assembly using a free-floating joint held together with high-quality silicon-shielded tensioning springs. The muffler is attached to the frame with one single and one dual Akrapovic carbon-fiber clamp. The system includes a built-in FIM MX 98 dB noise damper, which can be replaced with FIM ENDURO 94 dB noise damper. OPTIONS The Akrapovic SLIP-ON system for the Husqvarna TC 450 is available with the FIM 94 dB noise damper too, which can replace the FIM 98 dB damper.

Like the motorcycle itself, the Akrapovic EVOLUTION system is intended for experienced MX riders. Its racing spirit is indicated by the fact that the majority of its advantages are obtained at the top of the rpm range and in the overrev range, where experienced riders will know how to put it to use. The system conforms to the 98 dB FIM requirements for exhaust system noise levels for MX competition. PERFORMANCE Measurements of the Akrapovic EVOLUTION system on the HUSQVARNA TC 450: Power: up to 5400 rpm the system follows the stock curve, and from there on is a substantial increase which continues right into the overrev range. This system is clearly intended for experienced riders who want to maximize the engines potential at the very top of the range. Torque: while the majority of the power increase with the EVOLUTION system shows up at the top of the range, the torque is also increased at lower revs. This will be extremely useful for exiting corners, where the extra pull is always welcome. CONFIGURATION The system is configured 2-1 and is made entirely of titanium, as is standard for Akrapovic EVOLUTION systems. All tubes are conical and made of titanium, and connected using free-floating joints secured with silicon-shielded tensioning springs. The muffler is also made entirely of titanium, attached to the bike using one single and one dual Akrapovic carbon-fiber clamp. The use of titanium guarantees the minimum weight and maximum compactness of the system, which is necessary in tough MX conditions.
