RACING & EVOLUTION EXHAUST SYSTEM The Akrapovic Racing and Evolution complete exhaust systems are the championship winning flagships of our product lines. They are designed for competitionoriented enduro riders who demand maximum performance from their exhaust systems, made of extremely durable stainless steel or high grade titanium. With their production quality, engine performance improvements, weight reduction and muffler design they satisfy even top pro racers. The systems are designed for two markets; in the USA they are available with an approved spark arrester, and for the EU and other non-US markets they come with a noise damper. They fulfill the strict noise regulations in enduro racing. For the Racing system we use stainless steel tubes and titanium tubes for the Evolution system. Muffler outer sleeve and end cap are always made of titanium. PERFORMANCE Measurements of the Akrapovic EVOLUTION system on the HUSQVARNA TE 250 (with muffler insert): Power & Torque: The Akrapovic Evolution and Racing systems deliver a performance increase throughout the bottom and top rpm range, plus huge increase of torque through entire power curve. Max. increased power of 2.3 HP was measured at 11400 rpm, while max. power of 33.1 HP was measured at 11450 rpm.

Remove the seat. Remove the fuel tank. Using the supplied velcro attach the PCIII to the inner side of the right hand side cover (Fig. C). Make sure to clean both surfaces with the alcohol swab before attaching.

Attach the ground wire from the PCIII to the negative side of the battery (Fig. B).

Unplug

Route the PCIII harness towards the throttle body going underneath the frame support. Unplug the stock wiring harness from the injector (Fig. C).

Plug the PCIII harness in-line of the stockwiring harness and injector (Fig. D).

Crimp the supplied wire tap to the ORANGE wire of the ECU harness (Fig. E). This is the 3rd wire from the end, on the top row of the ECU.

Attacht the GREY wire from the PCIII to the wire tap (Fig. E). It is recommended to use dielectric grease on these connections.

O2 sensor connection
Locate the stock O2 sensor connection. This is under the fuel tank on the left hand side of the frame (Fig. F). Unplug this connection and install the Dynojet O2 eliminator onto the stock wiring harness. The O2 sensor will not be connected to anything at this time. It can be removed from the exhaust if desired.

Reinstall the fuel tank and seat.
