| I bought this machine refurbished at Burlington Coat Factory. They now have refurb xp 4030s for $20. The machine is a low end consumer model designed for the anybody, that i s, the anybody who has no idea what real espresso tastes like. Reading all the other reviews, I feel a little insulted. My first espresso machine, and frankly my introduction to the world of good coffee, was a second-hand Brunopasso HA-12 in Japan. | |

| I bought the Krups KP1010 coffeemaker on a whim at a local TJ Maxx/HomeGoods store. It was $25 for a remanufactured model, and looked pretty cool. I bought this machine in January 2008 and Krups must have improved it a lot since some negative reviews. | |

| Avoid, avoid, avoid. Bought Feb 2009 and after a few weeks the pump failed; the water boiled but would not run through. Not for lattes! I bought this product a few days ago and will return it in no time. This is my fourth coffee maker and what a disappointment! | |
