A WASH FOR EVERY FABRIC TYPE
Due to its design and unique to LG, the 11KG Direct Drive is able to perform various drum motions or a combination of different motions depending on the wash programme selected. Combined with a controlled spin speed and the ability of the drum to rotate both left and right, the wash performance of the machine is greatly improved, giving you perfect results every time.
STANDARD TURN Standard tumble.
INTENSIVE As water is supplied to the machine the combination of scrub motion and the waved lifters create a figure of 8 shape and a trough of water. This helps to dissolve powder detergent better and faster. DELICATES The soft swing has a heart shaped motion that washes laundry below the water line. Steam particles are smaller than water droplets and can penetrate fabrics better. This improves the washing performance and the water consumption. LG Steam Direct Drive will reduce water consumption by as much as 19% when compared to a similar non-steam LG machine and up to 29% when compared to a conventional 8 kg capacity washing machine.

STEAM SAVES ENERGY

Conventional machines consume more water than the LG Steam Direct Drive Washer and require more energy to both heat up and circulate. USING NEW IDEAS TO MAKE A BETTER MACHINE
In any machine the part that washes consists of an outer tub and an inner drum. The inner drum spins to wash the clothes and the tub holds water. The drum spins, causing the tub to vibrate, which in turn causes the exterior casing to vibrate. To stop this, every element needs a little space to move between the tub and the drum and between the tub and the outer casing. But this usually reduces capacity. So what weve done is fix the drum to the cabinet. Its simple really. But effective. This allows the volume of the inner drum to increase by 20 litres without having to increase the size of the cabinet. So its still the same size as your old machine but it takes more washing. Clever eh?

It runs at a very quiet 54db (SPL) during 1400 spins, just a few whispers louder than a library. Its so quiet youll hardly know its on. Say goodnight to grumbling neighbours.

The 11KG Direct Drive has a brand new damping system that takes even more of the noise out of even the fastest spins. The maximum spin noise from the 11KG is 54dB, 5dB less than conventional machines. You can wash even more quietly by selecting the Silent Wash programme which has a maximum spin noise of 51dB.

A NEW DAMPING SYSTEM FOR A QUIETER WASH
The 11KG Direct Drive balances and controls the vibration coming from the inner drum. The dual ball balancer, together with the new damping system, controls vibration and sound levels.
1 MINIMIZE VIBRATION WITH DUAL BALL BALANCER The balls inside the dual ball balancer shift naturally to the opposite side of the drum. This helps to give a perfect balance which, in turn reduces vibration.
2 INSULATE WITH VIBRATION INSULATOR
What little vibration is left in the inner drum is insulated by the vibration insulator before being transferred to the damper.
3 SCATTER & ABSORB WITH NEW DAMPING SYSTEM

BABY CARE

Babies need to be protected from harmful bacteria and allergens whilst baby skin is sensitive and easily irritated by detergent. So any baby wash needs to be gentle and effective. Baby clothes also get washed often and are easily damaged. The LG Baby Care programme destroys and removes allergens and clears all traces of Detergent. It performs a Medic Rinse Warm Rinse (40 C), Rinse More (5 times) and High water level rinse.

RINSE+SPIN

If you are hand washing or have wet clothes you can use this setting for rinsing and spinning.

RINSE+, RINSE++

It adds one or two extra rinses to the default normal rinse times in the wash programme. (The number of rinses is fixed depending on washing cycles).

With its large glass porthole door, the stylish design of the LG Dryer perfectly compliments the LG Direct Drive washing machine. LG Dryers are designed to dry up to 8kg or 9kg of washing, depending on the model you have chosen and the washing machine you have, allowing you to swap your load from washer to dryer with the minimum of fuss, drying a full load in less time than conventional dryers. The larger drum is great for drying bulky items such as curtains, blankets or down jackets whilst the increased space inside the LG Dryer means clothes get less tangled and creased, saving hours of ironing.

BIG GLASS DOOR

The 9kg Dryers big door takes up less space than conventional dryers giving a bigger capacity. The new glass in the door also allows more space inside the dryer and looks great with LG Direct Drive washing machines.
EXTREMELY QUIET OPERATION
LGs LoDecibel Quiet System uses an antivibration motor, one-piece casing design and absorption sheets for noise reduction.

DRUM LIGHT

When the door is opened, the blue LED drum light automatically lights up the inside of the LG Dryer making it easier to see what is being loaded and unloaded by brightening the drum.
TAILORED DRYING PROGRAMMES
The LG Dryer has a pre-set drying programme to meet; every drying need, including new programmes for hard-to-care-for Wool and Delicates as well as Sportswear (ski and climbing gear) and a new Quick Dry programme. Automated drying levels can be selected under Cottons or Mixed fabrics, all on an easy to use Dial-a-Cycle. Programmes can be supplemented with Crease Care and Time Delay functions amongst others.

DRYING KIT

LG Tumble Dryers include a kit that allows you to dry your clothes flat, which is specially designed to dry carfully fragile items such as woolen fabrics or sport shoes.
STERILISATION ON WATER TANK
If you forget to empty the water tank in your dryer, you wont have to worry about bacteria. Coated anti-bacterial substances in the water tank will prevent contamination.

Conventional machines consume more water than the LG Steam Direct Drive Washer and require more energy to both heat up and circulate. With steam, less energy is needed because a smaller amount of water is used. The dual spray system releases simultaneously steam and water into the drum improving heating efficiency and time. Over the course of one years laundry, this translates to a savings of one months water and energy bills. Thats good for your pocket as well as the environment. LG Steam Direct Drive will reduce energy consumption by as much as 21% when compared to a conventional 8kg capacity washing machine. The machine is energy rated at A++. This is 20% more efficient than the A class standard (0.19 kWh/kg) in the A-G energy rating system.

SPA CLEAN CLOTHES WITH STEAM
Steam is the most intense form of cleaning because steam molecules are 1600 times smaller than water particles allowing them to penetrate right into the fabric and remove far more dirt than a normal wash. Steam Cleaning will remove ingrained dirt from anything giving even the grubbiest sports kit a makeover. Unique Steam refresh function gives you less ironing Weve all been in that situation. You need your clothes cleaned and ironed, but you just dont have the time. Now, thanks to Steam Refresh, you simply place the garments in your machine and 20 minutes later creases and odours are significantly reduced. Rather than use detergent and water, Steam Refresh harnesses the gentle power of steam to remove odours and creases, saving you time and trouble.
BETTER WASHING PERFORMANCE
The tumbling washing action along with the adjustable water temperatures result in a superior washing performance. Steam penetrates deeper into your wash. Steam molecules are smaller than those of water, so steam gets in between fabric fibres. Because each type of stain has a different optimum wash temperature, steam raises the temperature in steps to allocate enough time to remove each stain stype. Water cannot do this.

For washing synthetics like polyester and nylon.

BED COVER

This wash enables you to wash heavy fabrics like bed covers and curtains.
If you have large loads, this is the programme to use.
For blankets, curtains and lighter quilts.

QUICK 30

When you need a quick wash, this cycle takes just 30 minutes, including wash, rinse and spin.

RINSE+SPIN

From bulky items to small items, difficult stains or delicate fabrics, your LG Washing machine will have a washing programme thats specially designed for it. Choose from:
If you are hand washing or have wet clothes you can use this setting for rinsing and spinning.

RINSE+, RINSE++

It adds one or two extra rinses to the default normal rinse times in the wash programme. (The number of rinses is fixed depending on washing cycles).

MEDIC RINSE

This programme minimises detergent residue. It uses a high level rinse and warm (40 C) rinse which dissolves residues, lifts them and washes them away with warm water.

BABY CARE

Babies need to be protected from harmful bacteria and allergens whilst baby skin is sensitive and easily irritated by detergent. So any baby wash needs to be gentle and effective. Baby clothes also get washed often and are easily damaged. The LG Baby Care programme destroys and removes allergens and clears all traces of Detergent. It performs a Medic Rinse Warm Rinse (40 C), Rinse More (5 times) and High water level rinse.

RINSE HOLD

Once the rinse is complete this function adds another rinse. It does not drain the drum but waits for the user to initiate the spin cycle.

REFRESH

This programme uses a fine steam spray to penetrate fibres, remove creases and eliminate odours. It also works to soften fabrics. It is fast, effective and eco-friendly.

BOILING CARE

This programme is for clothes with difficult protein stains like chocolate or milk on them.

NORMAL+ HOLD

Once the rinse is complete this function does not drain the drum but waits for the user to initiate the spin cycle.

BIO CARE

This is for frequently washed and easily damaged clothes.

INTENSIVE

This programme can be selected to increase the wash time for badly soiled items.

Intensive 60 is a 60 minute wash programme that gives a superior wash performance when time is not on your side. It defaults to 60 degrees for removing ground-in dirt but can be manually changed to wash at cold, 30 or 40 degrees.

COTTON

This is a general wash programme that most suited to washing cotton fabrics.

HALF LOAD
