Logitech G19 Gaming Keyboard Available for Pre-Order

Earlier this year, during the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, Logitech announced a series of new products, part of its extensive line of gaming peripherals. With the announcement, the company rolled out its next-generation G-series keyboard, simply dubbed G19, building on its highly successful G15 keyboard. The new G19 was designed to provide gaming users with a high-performance, highly featured computer peripheral that can help them improve their gaming skills. On that note, it now appears that the G19 has finally been made available for pre-order on Amazon.com    As some of you are already aware, the G19 LCD gaming keyboard is featured with a number of programmable keys, backlighting and a 320 by 240 mini-display that will provide gaming enthusiasts with in-game statistics and other details that could help the user take advantage of a better gaming experience. Obviously, there are other functionalities delivered by the G19 keyboard's LCD, including details on VoIP caller-ID, video playback or image slideshows, all of which are available without the user being required to exit the game.   If you are one of those who have decided that it's time you should change your gaming keyboard, then you should be glad to hear that Amazon.com has now listed the G19 for pre-order, with a price tag of $199.99. There are no specific dates as to when the new keyboard will become available for shipping, but according to available details, it should be shipping later this spring.   If you truly want to change your gaming gear, Amazon has listed the G19 keyboard, the G35 surround headset and the G13 advanced gameboard as part of a package that will set you back approximately $400. That could be a high price tag for most, but if you plan on spending your nights fragging your opponents, then Logitech's products should provide you with a better experience.

Well, well, well, there can't be a CES without Logitech showing up with all sorts of cool products, can it now? So, in order to keep up its good name, the company has launched a whole bunch of new PC gaming accessories in its G-series of PC gaming peripherals, the most important novelties being without a doubt the G19 gaming keyboard and the G9x laser mouse. Following in the footsteps of the other keyboards from the G series, the G19 is the company's first device of this type to sport a color GamePanel LCD, which delivers a 320x240 pixel resolution and can provide gamers with in-game info from over sixty titles, as well as other data, such as VoIP communication details, clock, CPU load, or other non-gaming specific items such as pictures or videos. Other interesting features provided by the G19 are the 12 fully programmable G-keys with three macros per key and the multi-key input-functionality, which allows gamers to engage up to five keys at the same time. Furthermore, the G19 also sports the Game Mode switch (that can disable the Windows key), plus two built-in USB ports, which allow users to easily connect other accessories as well. The Logitech G9x laser mouse is also a very impressive gaming accessory, since it must honor the legacy of its predecessor, the G9. Thus, the device is capable of providing a very good level of precision at very high speeds (up to 150 inches per second on most popular gaming-mousepad surfaces), on-the-fly adjustable dpi from 200 to 5000 dpi, as well as two interchangeable, snap-on grips that adjust to the user's specific gaming style. Furthermore, the G9x comes equipped with on-board memory for saving up to five profiles, as well as with a weight-tuning system that gives users up to 28 grams of extra weight. Plus, as an additional customization options, users get to choose the exact LED color that best suits their tastes. In order to complement the G9x mouse and the G19 keyboard, Logitech has also launched the Logitech G35 surround-sound headset, touted by the company as being its first product to deliver 7.1 surround sound. This is achieved with the help of the second-generation Dolby Headphone technology included in the headset, which allows the G35 to simulate complex acoustics. Its ear-enclosing design will reduce ambient noise, while the adjustable, noise-canceling microphone will focus on the user's voice and will remove as much as possible the background noise. Both the G19 keyboard and the G35 headset will arrive in stores across the US and Europe in March and will retail for US$200 and US$130, respectively. The G9x mouse will hit the shelves a bit later, in April, and will sell for an estimate 100 US dollars.
