Logitech's New Pure-Fi Speaker Docks Are iPod, iPhone Friendly
The Pure-Fi Express Plus and Pure-Fi Anytime models
It would seem that there isn't one electronic product manufacturer out there that's not trying, at least to some extent, to capitalize on the huge level of success recorded by Apple's two iconic products, the iPod and iPhone. And that's also the case with Logitech, which has just unveiled two new docking stations designed especially to work with the "iProducts," namely the Pure-Fi Express Plus, which delivers omnidirectional sound to any room, and the Pure-Fi Anytime, a handy alarm clock with an additional docking function on the side. As Logitech informs us, the main advantage offered by Pure-Fi Express Plus is represented by its omnidirectional acoustics, which help it deliver sound evenly in just about any direction. Moreover, the device also offers users quite a high level of portability, since it can run either on AC or battery power and includes an integrated handle, making it easy for them to take their music from room to room. It's also accompanied by a remote control, which allows users to adjust the volume, play, pause, fast forward, rewind songs, besides the Shuffle and Repeat buttons. On the other hand, the Pure-Fi Anytime also offers a couple of interesting functions, as for example the motion-sensing backlight, which makes it easy to set the alarm without having to turn on the lights. Thus, the controls of the alarm clock light up when users wave their hand over the speakers and the buttons automatically dim when they're done using them. Plus, the same system applies when they want to activate the Snooze function, which can be done by simply waving one's hand above the speakers. The device also sports a recessed dock that helps prevent users from accidentally knocking over the iPod or iPhone, as well as a digital AM/FM radio. Plus, it incorporates an easy-to-read display that is clearly visible both in daylight and at night. The Logitech Pure-Fi Express Plus and the Pure-Fi Anytime are slated to arrive on both European and US markets at some point in October, and will have an estimated retail price of $99.99.
