In addition to its leading-edge 14-bit/216MHz video D/A converters, the true 12-bit video processing ensures that every subtle distinction in image quality, hue and clarity is displayed fully. Picture adjustments such as a fine-tunable video adjustability enable users to dial in the picture quality according to their personal preferences. Outstanding Audio Reproduction The DV9600s audio capabilities are every bit as impressive as its video prowess. Featuring six-channel equal quality audio circuits and separate power supplies for the internal audio circuitry, the DV9600 ensures maximum sonic performance from all music formats, including DVD-Audio and SACD discs. Key to the players outstanding audio characteristics is a newly developed zero-impedance ground copper plate for the 6channel audio outputs. Other high-performance audio technologies include two IEEE 1394 outputs for multichannel audio, 192kHz/24-bit audio D/A converters and Marantzs proprietary HDAM-2 SA (High-Definition Amplifier Module 2 Super Audio) for incredible lifelike reproduction of the source material. Adding to the surround sound flexibility and performance of the DV9600, users enjoy full bass management (including delay) for DVD-Video, DVD-Audio and SACD discs as well as built-in Dolby Digital and DTS surround sound decoding. DV7600 Ultimate Source Component for Movies and Music Since its introduction earlier this year, the Marantz DV7600 universal DVD player (SRP: $1,099) has been providing discriminating consumers with an ideal solution for enjoying ultimate high-quality home entertainment. It features an HDMI interface and video scaling circuitry capable of outputting video signals to 720p and 1080i, and 3:2 and 2:2 pulldown detection. For optimum image quality the DV7600 features 216MHz/12-bit video D/A converters, true 10-bit video processing plus Marantzs proprietary HDAM (High Definition Amplifier Module) output stages. This easy-to-use and high-speed bus easily handles multimedia bandwidth requirements and provides a universal interface for a variety of devices. By allowing seamless data exchange between the DV9600 and an AV receiver it enables the new generation of Marantz A/V devices to operate in a common environment. This digital connection ensures that data streams of high resolution formats like SACD and DVD-A are transferred without changing the integrity of the digital signal for both multichannel and stereo. To produce the high resolution music of SACD and DVD Audio accurately we have incorporated flow rate control. In combination with the SR9600 the signal transfer speed is controlled and with the high quality clock, build in to the SR9600, the original digital bit stream is regenerated. Any jitter created due to the signal transmission process is eliminated by this clock. The result is an accurate sound reproduction preserving every musical emotion from the creator of the music. Marantz HDAMs on all 6 channels Audio devices are usually equipped with Op-Amps (operational amplifiers) for which Integrated Circuit (IC) are commonly used. Unfortunately these IC's do not match the very high requirements of Marantz. Marantz developed it's own discrete circuit boardsdoing exactly the same thing as the Op-Amps, but outperform the regular IC Op-amps dramatically in terms of the Slew Rate and signal to noise ratio, resulting in a much more dynamic, accurate and detailed sound. Build in multichannel decoders In order to benefit from the audiophile analogue audio performance from the DV9600 we have incorporated DD, DTS and MPEG multichannel DVD-V audio decoders. The addition of the RS232c port allows the DV9600 to be integrated with a number of control systems such as AMX and Crestron.
