Whats New in DigiLinX Dealer Setup 2.2
Release Date: March 31, 2008 TheaterLinX (TH100) support: DigiLinX Dealer Setup 2.2 now supports NetStreams newest hardware product, TheaterLinX. TheaterLinX is a bridge designed to simplify the integration between a Home Theater and a DigiLinX system. In addition to TheaterLinX hardware support, DigiLinX Dealer Setup 2.2 also includes: o New Home Theater Control GUI: A new GUI is available that simplifies the control of a Home Theater by making macro buttons and common source transport controls available on one screen. Marantz AVR Drivers: TheaterLinX supports the full line of current Marantz AVRs with RS-232 control. Denon AVR Drivers: TheaterLinX support the full line of current Denon AVRs with RS232 control.
SpeakerLinX (SL254) support: New support for the upcoming SpeakerLinX model, which will drive Polk IP Ready speakers. Enhanced SpeakerLinX (SL250) Equalization: The equalization parameters and settings for the SpeakerLinX (SL250) have been redesigned to provide better dynamic range, sound quality, and SPL. Added support for the SL250 to drive Polk IP Ready speakers. Sirius Satellite Radio support: New support for Sirius satellite radio including models SCH2P and SCH1. Marantz CD Changer (CC4001) support: New support for RS-232 control of the Marantz CC4001 CD Changer using a MediaLinX (MLA101). Marantz iPod Dock (IS201) support: New support for RS-232 control of the Marantz IS201 iPod dock using a MediaLinX (MLA101). Marantz Tuner (ST7001) support: New support for RS-232 control of the Marantz ST7001 AM/FM/XM tuner using a MediaLinX (MLA101). Updates to Tuner GUI: The GUI interface for tuners has been updated to unify the AM/FM and Satellite tuner GUIs with full metadata. Cover art from satellite systems is available in full screen mode, which appears 7.5 seconds after the user selects a channel.
Sharp Display support: New support for RS-232 control of the Sharp Plasma PN-455RU, LCD LC-26DA5U, and LC-32DA5U displays. Widescreen Signaling: The MediaLinX A/V (MLAV300) and ViewLinX (VL100) now pass widescreen signaling information over the component video connection. Closed Captioning: The MediaLinX A/V (MLAV300) and ViewLinX (VL100) now pass closed captioning text through the NetStreams network to the display. VUDU support: New support for the VUDU box from VUDU.
Downloading and Installing

System Requirements

Before installing DigiLinX Dealer Setup, please make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements. Downloading DigiLinX Dealer Setup
DigiLinX Dealer Setup can be downloaded from the password protected dealer section of netstreams.com. Contact marketing@netstreams.com if you are an authorized dealer and need login credentials.
Installing DigiLinX Dealer Setup
Please note that installing DigiLinX Dealer Setup into the same directory as your current installation will overwrite your existing installation. You will not lose custom drivers in your drivers folder. NetStreams recommends backing up critical files before any DigiLinX Dealer Setup upgrade.

Removing DigiLinX Dealer Setup
You can remove DigiLinX Dealer Setup in two ways: the Add/Remove Programs icon in the Windows Control Panel, accessible through the Start Menu, or using the included Uninstall program found under Start Menu, DigiLinX Dealer Setup, Uninstall DigiLinX Dealer Setup.

Fixed Issues

The following is a list of some of the major issues addressed in DigiLinX Dealer Setup 2.2. TL380 updating incorrectly In certain cases, the TL380 would receive the incorrect network driver if it was inadvertently matched to a TL430 by mistake. Dealer Setup now only allows matching to specific models.
Microphone gain too low TL430 and TL700 microphone gain was too low compared to TL380, increased microphone gain. Light status indicator incorrect Under certain circumstances the feedback icon for a lighting scene could get out of sync temporarily with the master controller, showing that the scene was on when off or vice versa. Corrected issue and now feedback icons reflect real-time status accurately. MLA4000 dropping out Some MLA4000s would go into a continuous reboot cycle after sending configuration files to them. MLA4000 firmware has been updated to prevent this issue. TL380 failing to update In projects with large numbers of IP cameras, the gui.xml files that store the GUI information on the TL380 would get abnormally large, creating slow project save and update configuration times. Corrected the issue. TouchLinX startup issue Log files in the TouchLinX were growing too fast, consuming the resources of the device. Fixed the issue by limiting the size of the log files. IP Camera Split View Certain cameras were showing overlapping images in split view, the problem was fixed in this release. Jump to not working The jump to function for controlling macros was not working correctly for jumping to control screens. This issue has been fixed.

Known Issues

The following is a list of known issues and their associated workarounds in DigiLinX Dealer Setup 2.2. For questions about these issues, please contact NetStreams Technical Support (see How to Get Support below). Text cut-off Some skins (Monet) and some buttons (presets, macros) show a tendency to cutoff text due to text sizing issues. Workaround: check button labels after each config files update. Marantz IS201 Browse menu may not show up correctly The IS201 iPod dock sometimes sends incomplete information, resulting in an incomplete list. Workaround: back out of menu and re-enter to refresh the song list. Dealer Setup performance When left open for >8 hours, Dealer Setup may slow and degrade its performance or the performance of the system. Workaround: save project files frequently, restart Dealer Setup after several hours. Streaming Music Manager Room 1 issue The SMM100 may appear not to work. Open the PC client tool (included with Dealer Setup), if a window pops up asking for a room selection with Room 1 in the list, the SMM 00 may have received faulty firmware at the factory. Contact technical support. MLA4000 Relay States The MLA4000 has dual pole (NC/C/NO), bi-stable relays. This means that they are software controlled and hold their position until changed. The 3 states in the dropdown window in Dealer Setup are labeled None, Normally Closed, and Normally Open. These settings control the state of the relay upon powering up the MLA4000. When set to None, the relay reverts to its last known state. When set to Normally Closed the relay acts as labeled on the device (NC/C/NO). When set to Normally Open the relay swaps poles and reverses state (NO/C/NC). We may change these settings in a future release to make them more clear, until then please refer to this release note for reference. Static Menus Static menus do not update automatically to reflect changes to source or zone names. Workaround: check static menus after changing source or zone names for correctness. TouchLinX clicks not properly disabling disabling TouchLinX feedback clicks in Dealer Setup is not working correctly. This will be addressed in a future release. TheaterLinX Intercom TheaterLinX does not currently support intercom (or doorbell rings from DoorLinX). The configuration of intercom with a TheaterLinX is highly complex because the TH100 is both an input to and receiving from the AVR, the TH100 must recognize a doorbell or intercom request to ring, switch the AVR source selection from a movie being watched to the DigiLinX input, and ring the doorbell. There are times where this action is undesirable. Workaround: if intercom/doorbell is a must-have in the same room as the TH100, use a separate

SpeakerLinX wired to the AVRs rear speakers and an active speaker selector to determine if voltage is present from the SpeakerLinX to switch the speakers when necessary. NetStreams is evaluating solutions to bring intercom/doorbell to the TH100 in the future. Preset changes do not properly require a config update to TouchLinX changes to presets are not requiring configuration updates to TouchLinX (they should). Workaround: update configurations to all devices after updating presets.

Technological glossary:

TOTAL COMPATIBILITY The IS201 generates its own on-screen display via the S-Video output and feeds this to the video switching in an AV system or directly to a TV. At the same time, audio is transferred via standard stereo phono leads, which preserves quality. The IS201 comes with its own dedicated remote handset and is therefore completely backwards-compatible. TOTAL CONNECTIVITY The IS201 has flasher input and RC-5 remote data in-/output, meaning that it can be controlled by, or control, an AV receiver with stated capabilities. PCs can also control the IS201 via an RS232 jack. Moreover, as well as being a docking station for iPod, the IS201 can be used as an IR repeater in either multi-room or custom installation set-ups as the main point of control when employing the RC-5 remote data output. TOTAL FLEXIBILITY The IS201 can be wall or table mounted, and the 1.5m cable between cradle and connection block enables unsightly wires to remain hidden. Because the IS201 does not require a dedicated connection, it has backwards and sideways compatibility. It also offers connectivity to every AV product ever made.
