PM-15S1 REFERENCE INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER
Inspired by the already legendary SC-7/MA-9 combination and derived from the top class PM-11S1 we are proud to present the new Marantz PM-15S1. Coupling impressive design with outstanding performance we feel our engineers have created a worthy successor to the PM-17SA. The amplifier is built according to the new Marantz premium design without any visible screws, a heavy double layer chassis and a slightly blue illuminated front. The 3-stage construction with full Current Feedback and with short, symmetrical signal paths, independent left and right heatsinks, and new HDAM-SA2s ensure dynamic sound and perfect stereo imaging. Best components, reduction of external noise and other improvements further extend the quality. Derived from the PM-11S1 we are using the electronic linear volume control WM8816 from Wolfson. The PM-15S1 reflects our engineers passion for pure music, designed with the true audiophile in mind.

-- First New Marantz Turntable in Twenty Years Along, Plus New Platinum Standard Integrated Amplifier and Reference-Quality SACD Player -ITASCA, IL, September 9, 2005 Reflecting its longstanding audio heritage, Marantz America, Inc. will introduce several ultimate-quality component separates at CEDIA 2005, including its first newly developed vinyl disc turntable in 20 years (Model TT-15S1), two new Platinum Standard separates, the Model SA15S1 SACD player and the integrated stereo amplifier, Model PM-15S1, as well as the high-performance CD5001 Compact Disc Player. PM-15S1: The Ultimate in Amplification Technology Featuring Marantz new platinum cosmetic, the PM-15S1 integrated amplifier incorporates todays most advanced audio technologies, along with the finest materials and construction to deliver unmatched sonic performance with unparalleled fidelity, resolution and musical realism. Like the PM-11S1 introduced last year, the PM-15S1 has at its core a massive audiophile-grade toroidal amplifier, and features HDAM SAs (High Definition Amplifier Modules Super Audio) in the pre-amp output stage. For accurate tonal and image balance with virtually no distortion, the PM-15S1 features symmetrical circuitry, independent oversized heat sinks and hand-selected customized components. Ultrawide bandwidth circuitry provides a frequency response from 3 Hz 150 kHz, with a remarkable greater-than-100dB channel separation. The combination of these audio enhancing features results in music reproduction that captures the essence of each recording, with every sonic nuance audible in a rich, enveloping soundstage. SA-15S1 SACD Player: The Best and The Brightest To bring out the best and brightest sounds of todays advanced digital audio disc formats, including SACD, CD, and CD-R/RW recordings, the platinum SA-15S1 SACD player utilizes a unique super-solid chassis design, as well as refinements such as high-speed DSD (Direct Stream Digital) DACs, a specially designed digital filter and new HDAM SA Buffer Amps. An ingeniously designed shorter signal path circuit board construction adds to the SA-15S1s stunning music reproduction capabilities, decoding SACDs Direct Stream Digital (DSD) bit stream (1-bit sampled at 2.8224 MHz) with frequency response to 100 kHz and an incredible dynamic range of 113 dB (at lower frequencies).

TT-15S1: Connecting With the Past Using Todays Advanced Technologies Marantz new TT-15S1 turntable is a dream come true for analog audio purists, many of whom have sought older model Marantz turntables in collectors auctions and other high-end outlets for years. Designed using some of todays most sophisticated technologies and an ingenious design, the TT-15S1 brings out the best in vinyl recordings. It features an ingenious magnetic anti-skating system and an anodized arm for flawless performance. The asynchronous motor never makes contact with the chassis contact, ensuring faultless signal input and processing. The acryl chassis has massive aluminum feet for maximum stability, while the 3cmthick acryl platter, ceramic bearing and endless silicon belt ensure smooth playing at all times.
