Just got this camera and it is amazing. The slide up cover is perfect for turning on/off and protecting the lens. Easy to use, fun to use touch screen on digital camera, same memory card can be used with PSP (so , I saved money on memory card). If you compare its price with the fact that it generates high-quality pictures (1080i) and is super-light and compact, it is a good buy.

Image quality as others mentioning here, in Previous T series was much better than this T200. FYI: I have been using it for 3 months everyday.

At first the camera is well designed, however. I actually have DSC-T70, which is the little sibling of DSC-T200. The only difference between the two is 3x vs 5x zoom, and 3inch vs. 3.5inch LCD.

T 175 AV Tuner Preamplifier

> POSITIONING

The NAD T 175 now comes with full High Definition decoding thanks to NADs innovative approach to upgrading your AV tuner preamplifier Modular Design Construction (MDC). It is NADs insistence on creating products with remarkable sound quality at sensible prices that has made NAD the first choice among the most knowledgeable listeners from around the world. NADs Music First philosophy dictates that we endow our Audio Video products with the same warm, involving sound quality that makes music listening so rewarding with our stereo components. This stands in stark contrast to our competitors who view Audio Video components primarily from a content point-of-view, with sound quality far
> down theT U of priorities. Yet the T 175 is second to none in terms of flexibility and up-to-the-minute digital technology. F E A list R E S > FEATURES

Modular Design Construction NAD has developed a unique new (MDC) architecture that keeps pace with the fast changing world of digital formats by allowing connectivity and feature upgrades as new technology becomes available. This prevents premature obsolescence by keeping pace with the latest developments in high performance audio and video formats. Dealer installed hardware and software can add new connectivity and features at a future date, allowing your T 175 to grow as your needs and tastes develop. Most AV tuner preamplifiers require complete replacement with a new model to get the latest features. With NAD you only replace the module you want to upgrade - not the entire AV tuner preamplifier! Separates vs. Receiver Separate components have always been used in professional applications and occupy the highest tier of performance for consumer electronics products. Simply put, the receiver concept makes compromises in performance and flexibility in favour of convenience and price. This is especially true for the power amplifier section of the receiver. The large power supply and output stage heat sinks of the power amp must be compromised to fit in the single chassis format of the receiver. These high power parts can also cause interference with the low-voltage sensitive circuits used in preamplifier, tuner, and decoder sections of the receiver. The T 175 combines all the control and decoding functions in one compact chassis, giving up nothing for the convenience of the receiver, yet gives a big jump in performance and flexibility by separating the power amp stages. The 5-channel NAD T 955 and the 7-channel T 975 power amplifiers are perfect accompaniments to the T 175. Audio Performance Todays advanced Surround Sound processsors require quality in the digital decoding stages, the video processing section, and in the power amplifier design for the best overall performance. The T 175 is an excellent example of the NAD Design Teams expertise in all three areas. Not only that, but we have made many ergonomic refinements to simplify operation and make it more enjoyable to get all the performance from this magnificently capable AV tuner preamplifier. Using the latest Dual Core Floating Point DSP technology, NAD was able to include the newest surround formats from Dolby and DTS, as well as NADs own highly regarded music surround mode - EARS. The EARS circuit (Enhanced Ambient Recovery System) is now optimized for 7-channel surround. Unlike the typical artificially enhanced DSP modes like Club, Stadium, and Church, EARS uses DSP technology to extract the natural ambience of the recording. This is redirected to the surround channels to create natural surround sound from any 2-channel source. This induces a warm natural reverberant effect without the hollow BOING of artificial reverb. The surround mode of the source material is automatically detected via the digital inputs of the T 175 and the most advanced form of decoding is switched in. Conversion of the encoded digital bitstream is performed with high resolution and extremely linear D/A Converters carefully selected for their performance capabilities. Credit for the sound of NADs components rests squarely with our unique design approach and our experienced and very talented design team. Most companies design their products to a technical specification and a price point. While this sounds logical enough, it does not address the way the product will actually be used by the eventual owner. You dont listen to specifications you listen to music and sound. While NAD products exhibit excellent technical measurements, we have relied on our own ears and listening experience to determine the final design of our products. Because of our unique design approach, NADs sound is simply more real sounding, adding enjoyment and excitement to your favourite films and music recordings. Video Performance The T 175 features NADs newly developed HDMI repeater featuring Sigmas VXP Image Processor. Both analogue and digital video sources can be selectively processed using Sigmas advanced VXP algorithms. This is the best performing image processing engine we could find, and the T 175 is the lowest priced AV tuner preamplifier on the market featuring this advanced technology.

The new VXP video board features video conversion to resolutions as high as 1080p and supports all SD and HD formats up to 2048 x 2048 pixels. Motion adaptive de-interlacing with edge interpolation eliminates the jagged edge effects common in lesser image processors. Film mode detection with output cadence generation endows the video picture with a film-like smoothness of motion. The programmable scaling engine also allows for aspect ratio conversion to perfectly match the video source with the video display. Advanced noise reduction and detail enhancement improve legacy analogue video sources to near HD quality. Flexibility The T 175 has all the flexibility required to serve as the command centre for even the most sophisticated Home Theatre and multi-room systems. A full suite of video switching caters to all the popular video formats (HDMI, Component Video, S-Video, and Composite Video). Digital inputs (including a handy front panel input) and outputs are available in both coaxial and optical formats to make it easy to attach all your digital sources for playback and recording. Digital Inputs are converted to analogue for use in Zone 2 and you can choose to convert unused audio/video outputs for Zone 3 and Zone 4 use with independent source selection and volume control. With the T 175, NAD has made it easy to add more speakers for listening to music in additional rooms or zones. Multi-room systems can be created using the Zone 2, 3 and 4 outputs to add amplifiers and speakers with the benefit of independent source selection and volume control. A separate second zone remote is included, and signals can be transmitted via remote IR sensors (not included) to the IR input sockets on the rear panel of the T 175. There are also 12 volt triggers to automatically switch remote zone amplifiers on and off, and even an RS-232 data port for connection to highly advanced automated control systems. Thoughtful features like discrete On and Off codes, direct access to inputs and FM station presets facilitates the integration of the T 175 into elaborate remote control systems. An analogue 7.1 input is also provided for attaching a DVD-Audio player or any other yet to be developed surround decoder, ensuring that the T 175 does not become obsolete anytime soon. Luxurious Simplicity All the capability and flexibility in the world is quite useless if the AV tuner preamplifier becomes too complicated to be operated by every member of the family. NAD has taken special measures to make operation of the T 175 as logical and straightforward as possible. Initial system setup is best accomplished using your television monitor and the clear and simple On Screen Display (OSD), which can be configured to also give status updates as settings are changed in everyday use. Once the T 175 is informed of your specific system setup, all settings are stored in a non-volatile memory, making this a one time task. The informative front panel display indicates complete information about the source being listened to or watched, including selected surround mode and volume setting. The front panel display can be easily customized by renaming inputs and even determining what information you prefer to be displayed and when to display it.

Audyssey Auto Calibration is available using the supplied calibrated microphone. Simply place the microphone in the listening position and select Audyssey autocalibration and the system automatically detects the connected amplifiers speakers, chooses the ideal crossover point to the subwoofer, checks speaker phasing, and adjusts the levels and delays. These adjustments are made to a level of accuracy that it would be difficult to duplicate by ear alone. Audyssey MultEQ XT is the latest in digital sophistication, allowing for improved frequency response in a large, family-sized sweet spot. Using the calibration microphone to hear your room, a series of test tones measure the speakers response and the rooms distorting echoes independently, and then calculates an ideal response that minimizes the effects of the rooms echoes. While this sounds simple, the digital technology that is required for this level of performance would have cost many thousands of dollars just a few short years ago. But the electronic technology is only half the story, since an advanced knowledge of acoustics is also required to get good results from such a system. Working closely with Audyssey, NADs acoustic engineers developed the final response curves that reflect our own performance values. Audyssey Dynamic Volume and Dynamic EQ work together to address the problem of large jumps in volume when switching between different TV channels or when advertisements are inserted into the program. There is also an effect caused by our ears different sensation of low and high frequencies at different listening levels: as the volume is reduced our sensation of bass frequencies is reduced more than the midrange frequencies. The T 175 tuner section can store a mix of your 40 favourite AM, FM and XM (or DAB) stations for immediate recall. These presets can be custom named. And if your selected FM station supports the Radio Data System (RDS), it will automatically stream information about the station and music being played. We also include a Digital Broadcast Ready socket on the rear panel for adding outboard DAB or XM modules. All the control software for these formats is included just plug in the module and start enjoying the clear sound and expansive content selection available with Digital Radio Broadcast. Five independent Audio Video Presets can store speaker level and tone control settings for instant recall, making it easy to custom tailor your system for different types of program material. Encoded surround modes like Dolby Digital and DTS are automatically selected if the program is so encoded. The T 175 also remembers your last used settings when switched in and out of Standby mode. The included HTRC 1 remote handset is in itself an engineering tour de force. Able to control up to eight different components, an illuminated LCD screen clearly shows what device is selected and what command is being sent. It has illuminated buttons for easy operation in a low light environment, and the length of time the buttons are illuminated can be easily adjusted. Remote commands for products not already included in the HTRC 1s memory can be easily taught to the HTRC 1. And the HTRC 1s Macro function allows up to 64 individual commands to be triggered by pressing just two keys. With this feature, all of the commands required for watching a DVD, for example, are executed automatically by the HTRC 1s Macro function. There is also a USB port that allows the HTRC 1 to be connected to a PC and using our freely downloadable program from the NAD website, you can program, customize, memorize and clone the HTRC 1.

Summary The T 175 offers remarkable performance and flexibility in a compact and simpleto-operate package. This multi-channel powerhouse will bring your favourite music and movies to life in your home entertainment room with an absolute minimum of fuss and a maximum of pure enjoyment.

Simplicity in Design. Clarity in Sound.
At NAD Electronics an obsession for music, and a traditional commitment to sonic and visual fidelity, have remained steadfast over our 36 year history. So has our quest for ever-greater simplicity, innovation, and user-friendliness. Since these also happen to be the values of many of the worlds most demanding reviewers, the critics have raved about NAD audio excellence and have made us something of a performance standard in the audio/video world. Distinctive products seek a selective audience. NADs intent, by design, is to meet and even exceed the highest audio and video expectations of serious performance enthusiasts. Artistic authenticitythe ambition to achieve the highest accuracy in the reproduction of the artists original creationdrives every design decision at NAD. Whether the medium is music or movies; our objective is to place the NAD owner in the heat of the action of a theatrical blockbuster, or third-row-center stage of a favourite musical event. Solid engineering, honest power, and a passion for realism are NADs recipe for achieving this goal. Just as essential, NAD components preserve the artistic intent of musicians, producers, and directors, despite the obstacles that system-setup and room acoustics can so often present. Put another way, NAD receivers, amplifiers, and source components dont just work perfectly in ideal setups, theyre engineered to deliver benchmark-quality sound and picture for real people, living in the real world. Listen, and read beyond the hype. Visit your NAD audio-video specialist to discover first-hand how everything youll hear is true. Given the excitement and impact of home theatre, it can be easy to overlook that music remains the truest test of any audio system. Every NAD component is conceived and engineered with this Music First design mandate: a commitment to deliver a true high-fidelity music listening experience. So while we insist that NAD designs reproduce the full impact of a surround sound movie, we equally demand the purity of a brilliantly played and masterfully recorded classical composition or jazz session. Only components that deliver this with effortless power and resolve, can satisfy NADs Music First credo.
NAD performance is supported by our Full-Disclosure specifications, rather than specs created by engineers to fulfill the needs of marketing-driven brochures. Paradoxically, plenty of engineers do in fact choose NAD. So do thousands of others; less technical but no less demanding music and film lovers who make the effort to research, listen, and read beyond the hype.
NAD T175 AV Tuner Preamplifier

Audio. Video. NAD.

NADs home theatre designs reflect a philosophy quite distinct from that of most mass-market receivers, separate components, and DVD players today. Our Music First credo mandates that we enrich our audio/video products with the same tonally pure, dynamically thrilling performance that makes listening to music through our world-renowned stereo components so very compelling. This stands in stark contrast to our competitors, so many of whom conceive audio/video components overwhelmingly from a feature content point of viewwith sound quality found well down the list of priorities. Yet NAD AV receivers, AV component separates, and DVD players are second to none in terms of flexibility, usability and highly developed digital technology. While they may avoid features that are of purely gee-whiz value, they are richly endowed with sophisticated, thoughtful functions whose genuine usefulness have proven themselves beyond question. As an example, take NADs uniquely enhanced Audyssey MultEQ XT auto set-up and room-calibrationperhaps the most advanced and most musically and sonically effective application of audio digital processing on any AV component. Examine NADs well-considered approach to HDMI, the single-cable, High-Definition Multimedia Interface that is a key enabling technology of todays AV gear. Every one of the NAD AV receivers and preamp-processor features HDMI inputs and switching supporting native resolutions up to and including 1080p. The T175, T785 and T775 add even more HDMI functionalitywith audio processing and On-Screen Display. Our intuitive on-screen menu/ display system, makes operation fast and user friendly. Look at our receivers and preamps simple but comprehensive iPod integration, via NADs optional IPD-1 Dock, or our equally simple, one-cable XM Satellite Radio/DAB options.

NAD AV Separates

Audio-Video separate components define the height of AV reproduction. The NAD T175 AV Tuner Preamp marries sophisticated performance to a most welcome simplicity of setup and operation, while the 5-channel NAD T955 and 7-channel T975 power amplifiers form the perfect accompaniments. Together, our AV separates combine the flexibility and up-to-the-minute digital technology and connectivity to control even the most sophisticated home theatre and multiroom system. Whether watching the latest film or enjoying your most cherished music, youll be immersed in detailed, convincing sound and pristine picture as never before.

NAD T535 DVD/SACD Player (top) & T775 AV Surround Sound Receiver It is performance first that makes these components unmistakably NAD. Theres no magic formula, but it begins by following our Music First credo. NAD designs are shaped by dedicated professionals such as Bjorn Erik Edvardsen, the companys Director of Advanced Development, whose reputation for innovative audio design is as thoroughly established internationally as is NADs at large. Superior circuit design, critical parts selection, and meticulous construction techniques lead to superior performance, as does a design philosophy that values concentrated, expert listening and viewing evaluations just as highly as test-bench measurements. Today, when all too many manufacturers seem content to deliver marketing-driven, unnecessarily feature-laden brochure performers, and thus an ever-more complex user experience. NAD chooses to pursue a path less followed. Our AV receivers and amplifiers produce more usable, real-world power, so regardless of published

Music. Pure and Simple.

Reputations are earned through performance, not purchased with marketing budgets. NADs reputation has been cultivated across threeplus decades of unflagging innovation, beginning with the iconic model 3020, the integrated amplifier that captured the attention of serious audiophiles and redefined just what high-value performance could mean. Today, NADs products reflect our ongoing commitment to music listening. They similarly reflect NADs grasp of the fact that the overwhelming majority of our customers musical enjoyment continues to be derived from stereo recordings, and will continue doing so for the foreseeable future. Consequently, the NAD range of stereo components is no less advanced, and no less sonically compelling than our current AV models. NADs component stereo ensemble enjoys advanced technology and audio performance well beyond our original integrated amplifier. While our designs have evolved, they maintain a durable thread to our past: true value for our customers. NAD hi-fi components continue to employ premium components at all sonically critical circuit locations, to ensure the transparency and transient purity that all NAD owners have come to expect. We also retain all-discrete-component amplifier designs in all our models, rather than substituting the cheaper but less desirable chip-based op-amp modules many of our competitors exploit. NAD remains true to our pedigree by developing music amplifiers that are purpose-designed, specifying high-current power supplies for each model throughout our extended electronic family. You enjoy the benefits.

NAD HiFi Music System

NAD C715 CD Receiver

NAD HiFi Integrated Amplifiers
NAD has an enviable reputation for creating some of the most critically acclaimed, best performing amplifiers of all timebeginning with the legendary model 3020 three decades ago. Today, with the exception of power output the four NAD stereo integrated amplifiers share much of their design, like their proprietary PowerDrive amplifier circuitry assuring high dynamic power and low impedance drive capability even with the most inefficient or demanding loudspeakers. With this high dynamic power and their serious power supplies, these amplifiers sound open, effortless and smooth in a way that no other components so affordable can equal, while their high peak current capabilities preserve the impact and rhythmic punch of even the best recordings. The result? The atmosphere, energy, and soul of the original performance is revealed in brilliant realism.
NAD C325BEE (top) & C355BEE Stereo Integrated Amplifiers
NAD C525BEE CD Player (top) & C720BEE Stereo Receiver Its not surprising that todays NAD stereo receivers, amplifiers, and music systems still produce dynamic impact beyond expectation and out of all proportion to their power ratings. And just like that first stereo amplifier some 30 years ago, NADs contemporary designs continue our legacy of palpable, three-dimensional imaging and stunning transparency, for sound that continues to astonish careful listenerslisteners who value quality, dynamics, and definition above trendy features. Yet the NAD stereo family is thoroughly modern, too, fully satisfying the demands of digital audio, and incorporating versatile automation and integration facilities such as 12-volt triggers and IR connectivity for interfacing with advanced outboard system controllers. And while they display ample sophistication, every NAD stereo component also retains our firms unwavering commitment to simplicity and intuitive design. Resolutely selecting top-quality internal components, and eschewing design shortcuts in favour of rigorous proprietary engineering, NAD puts forth no claim to be the cheapest. Only the best.

NAD Tuners

The C425 FM/AM tuner incorporates the convenience of RDS, plus infrared and RS-232 control ports for easy integration with sophisticated custom-installation system controllers. The C445 tuner combines the convenience of DAB, FM and AM in one component. Via the best broadcasters, DAB can rival CD sound quality, so NAD deploys to the C445 the very same audiophile-grade D/A converters and op-amp components it uses in its award-winning CD players. Yet because we recognize that analogue radio remains a vital source of music and information, the C445s FM section is carefully engineered to extract the best possible quality even under difficult reception conditionsboth weak, fringe environments and crowded urban locations. (C445 is not available in North America.)

NAD CD Players

NADs critically acclaimed, award-winning CD players set a new performance/value benchmark. The C525BEE (the initials acknowledge our lead designer Bjorn Erik Edvardsen) combines the most sophisticated available digital-to-analogue devices with costly, high-end analogue components such as ultra-linear op-amps, metal-film resistors, and polypropylene capacitors, to ensure superbly accurate signal reconstruction and response. For its part, the C542 offers the system-integration flexibility of both IR and 12V-trigger inputs. In either case, while you could spend far, far more for a high-performance CD player youd have a very difficult time finding a more musically complete, transparent-sounding player anywhere near their prices.

Technical Information

PowerDrive
NAD receivers and amplifiers are well known for delivering amazing real world dynamic power. NADs exclusive PowerDrive technology provides high dynamic power and low impedance drive capability. PowerDrives dual-rail power supply delivers optimised internal voltage levels especially during the most demanding conditions: dynamic peaks, sweeping musical transients, deep-bass excursions that drive a loudspeaker into its most power-hungry impedance range. Its a little like the kickdown of a sophisticated automatic transmissionproviding extra short-term power on demand. PowerDrive is one big reason why NAD AV receivers do not exhibit the dynamic compression, flattened imaging, or the strident harshness audiophiles so often decry as receiver sound. PowerDrive not only makes NAD receivers and amplifiers sound better, it makes them cooler running, with improved efficiency, leading to greater reliability as well.

Full Disclosure Power Ratings
Power sells audio products, so many manufacturers tailor their designs to obtain the best power ratings that can be contrived. In todays digital world, with uncompressed signals and multi-channel entertainment, these continuous power ratings drive designs that are inefficient, hot, heavy and expensive to produce. Even worse, the sound quality of many such designs can be thin, overly bright, and lacking in musical texture. And since the power produced is far less than that promised when driving 5 or 7 loudspeakers, the dynamic power required for the full intensity of an action movie scene or orchestral climax is simply not available. NADs solution to this conundrum is to optimize our power supplies to drive real-world loudspeakers effectively. This requires a precisely regulated, high current power supply to be designed for each NAD amplifier and receiver. Thus we can rate our receivers with continuous 4 ohm loads, all channels driven simultaneously, full bandwidth (20Hz - 20kHz), and at rated distortion. This is a far cry from the Music or movie sound is not a uniform, unchanging signal such as continuous power ratings would suggest. Rather, it is dynamic, occurring in bursts of varying durations and constantly changing amplitudes. Unlike conventional amplifiers, NADs smart dual-stage power supplies are designed to handle the dynamic power required by todays music and films more effectively. Furthermore, our amplifier designs produce outstanding low impedance drive capabilities, even when driving the most demanding loudspeakers in a high-performance home theatre system. FDP is an important reason why NAD components offer a valuable alternative to the over-hyped receivers and amplifiers on the market today. commonly used FTC minimal requirement using 8 ohm dummy loads, and requiring no more than two channels to be stressed at a time, and those at an easy 1 kHz frequency, with no distortion specified!

Full Disclosure Power

NAD Soft Clipping
Created by NAD engineers who understood that no matter how much realworld power you give the people, someday, somewhere, someone will demand more. It is all too easy to keep setting the volume higher without realizing just how high you have turned it up. Switching in Soft Clipping will greatly reduce
the chance of damage. NADs patented selectable Soft Clipping circuit gently transforms the music waveform as the point of distortion (clipping) approaches, resulting in much clearer reproduction and possibly protecting your speakers from damage, especially tweeters.
The Audyssey auto-setup and room calibration functions on NADs AV receivers and preamp exploit todays extraordinarily powerful yet affordable digital signal processing (DSP) to improve real-world sound reproduction. Audyssey auto setup employs the supplied calibrated microphone; simply locate the microphone at the listening position and engage the Audyssey system via a single remote-control key. The AV receiver or preamp automatically detects the connected loudspeaker layout, verifies correct connections, selects ideal crossover points, and adjusts each speakers level and delay with precision that would be difficult or impossible to duplicate by ear alone. NADs proprietarily enhanced Audyssey MultEQ XT* technology, the latest in digital sophistication, enables home theatres to sound the way they were intended in every seat by removing the distortion caused by room acoustics. Using the calibration microphone to hear your room, a series of test tones measure the speakers response and the rooms distorting acoustic reflections independently, and then calculates an ideal response that minimizes the effects of these reflections Dialogue intelligibility is dramatically improved, precise imaging and sound stage are enhanced and the accurate localization of instruments for musical balance is optimised. While this sounds simple, the digital technology that is required for this level of performance would have cost many thousands of dollars just a few short years ago.
* Audyssey MultEQ XT available on the T785, T775 and T175.
NAD Green & Eco Friendly
At NAD, we take our responsibilities to the planet very seriously: after all, we live here too. NAD has already undertaken to mitigate our industrial impact upon the environment, both by imposing strict measures in all our product designs to eliminate questionable materials or processes, and by reengineering our factories and manufacturing practices to abolish or reduce levels of environmentally undesirable substances. Our universal use of leadfree solder throughout NAD manufacturing, and the re-design of our circuitboard production to do away with certain chemical compounds are only two examples. Todays NAD products are created in the most modern, green manufacturing facilities available to us, and as our knowledge grows, and the techniques of enviro-friendly manufacturing develop worldwide, we will continue to pursue forward-thinking, environmentally aware manufacturing.

Four Zone Control

A whole-house sound system allows you to easily enjoy your favourite music with independent source and volume control in each room or zone. With control for as many as three remote zones, NAD AV receivers allow you to listen, for example, to the radio in one area, compact discs in another, and to enjoy your iPod through your NAD system in a third. Or you can fill your home with seamless sound that welcomes one and all. Your local NAD audio/video specialist can make it all happen.
