While a bit heavy, the camera has a very good feel and balance and the weight gets to stability. The fit and finish are excellent.

This is my main wildlife setup. After using the D200 for a few years the D300S is a great improvement in focus speed and acquisition. This is a great all around camera Good Battery Life,Good in Low Light,Great Resolution,Large Clear LCD Complicated Controls
