How good a film SLR Nikon could make these days. The only time I messed up is when I was using a flash gun for fill-in on portraits. gud gud

This Nikon F80 is an excellent camera at an affordable price... The Nikon F80 is a very user friendly 35mm SLR camera. I am not a professional photographer, but photography is my hobby.

This camera is light weight and easy to use. Light weight and easy to use. The built-in flash light is not useful. A digital one now - Nikon D200. With the standard Nikkor lens f3.5-5.6 28-80 it gives you well exposed and sharp pictures.

Infrared film cannot be used with this camera, because the F80 detects the film perforation with an infrared ray. The viewfinder will be dark without battery power but brightens after installation of fresh batteries. This is not a malfunction.

Nikon N80/F80(s) Custom Settings Pocket Card
Since Nikon failed to provide one with the N80/F80s package, I created a pocket card layout with the cameras custom settings Please feel free to copy and distribute this design. I recommend that you print this on a high resolution inkjet or laser printer (a postscript printer will provide the best results), trim along the outside rectangle and laminate the card for field use. Happy shooting, BJ Nicholls bjnicholls@uswest.net

Nikon N80/F80(s) Custom Settings Decal
I put the six custom settings that I am most likely to change in the field on this decal. I made it small enough to put on the back of a 62mm lens cap. Let me know if you find other useful places to put this decal. Please feel free to copy and distribute this design. I recommend that you print this on a high resolution inkjet or laser printer (a postscript printer will provide the best results). Print on adhesive backed paper stock.
