GENUINE NISSAN COLLISION PARTS
If you have an accident, insist on Genuine Nissan Collision Parts. If you want your vehicle to be restored using parts made to Nissans original exacting specifications if you want it to last, help to protect your personal safety and to help hold its resale value, the solution is simple. Tell your insurance agent and your repair shop to use only Genuine Nissan Collision Parts. Many non-genuine parts are copies made from impressions of Nissan parts and may not match the specifications and performance standards of Genuine Nissan Parts. As a result, non-genuine parts may not look or fit right, and may be less safe. The hood on your vehicle is a good example. Nissan designed it with hood buckling creases to help prevent the hood from penetrating the interior of your vehicle in an accident. Non-genuine parts may not provide such built-in safeguards. In some states, the law says you must be advised if non-genuine parts are used to repair your vehicle. Why should you take a chance?
Replacement Panel Limited Lifetime Corrosion Warranty *
If you have your collision damage repaired using Genuine Nissan Outer Sheet Metal Panels you dont have to worry about corrosion. Thats because these panels are warranted against inside out rustthrough perforation for as long as you own your Nissan. Another reason to insist on Genuine Nissan Collision Repair Parts.
* This warranty does not apply to vehicles or parts not distributed by Nissan North America and/or sold outside the United States.
DETERMINING THE PROPER MAINTENANCE INTERVAL
As a condition of your vehicle's warranty, you are responsible for properly maintaining your vehicle. In maintaining your vehicle, you should follow either Schedule 1 or Schedule 2 as listed below. Use these guidelines to determine which maintenance schedule to use.
SCHEDULE 1 (more severe operating conditions), every 3,750 miles or 3 months, whichever comes first Use Schedule 1 if you primarily operate your vehicle under any of these conditions: G Repeated short trips of less than 5 miles in normal temperatures or less than 10 miles in freezing temperatures G Stop-and-go traffic in hot weather or lowspeed driving for long distances G Driving in dusty conditions or on rough, muddy, or salt-spread roads G Towing a trailer, or using a camper or car-top carrier SCHEDULE 2 (less severe operating conditions), every 7,500 miles or 6 months, whichever comes first Schedule 2 features 7,500-mile service intervals; with Schedule 2 fewer maintenance items are regularly checked or replaced than with Schedule 1. Generally, Schedule 2 applies only to highway driving in temperate conditions. Use Schedule 2 only if you primarily operate your vehicle under conditions other than those listed in Schedule 1. PREMIUM MAINTENANCE* Premium Maintenance is a Nissanrecommended optional upgrade that adds services to Schedule 1 and 2 when maintenance is performed. Performing the Premium upgrade services may optimize the performance, durability, reliability, and resale value of your vehicle. (Premium Maintenance items are available at every 30,000 miles or 24 month interval.)
G * Premium Maintenance is a Nissan-recommended option; you need not perform such maintenance in order to maintain the warranties which come with your Nissan. Premium Maintenance may not be available outside the United States, please inquire of your dealer.
K For the ultimate in preventative maintenance, ask your Service Advisor for a complimentary Multi-Point Inspection every time you visit your participating Nissan dealer.
EXPLANATION OF SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE ITEMS
The following descriptions are provided to give you a better understanding of the scheduled maintenance items that should be regularly checked or replaced. The maintenance log indicates at which mileage/time intervals each item requires service. In addition to scheduled maintenance, your Nissan requires that some items be checked during normal day-to-day operation. You can find these items listed under General Maintenance in Chapter 8 of your Owners Manual. Items marked with * are recommended by Nissan for reliable vehicle operation. You are not required to perform maintenance on these items in order to maintain the warranties which come with your Nissan. Other maintenance items and intervals are required. When applicable, additional information can be found in the Maintenance and
do-it-yourself section in Chapter 8 of your Owners Manual. NOTE: Nissan North America does not advocate the use of non-OEM approved aftermarket flushing systems and strongly advises against performing these services on a Nissan product. Many of the aftermarket flushing systems use non-OEM approved chemicals or solvents, the use of which has not been validated by Nissan North America. For recommended fuel, lubricants, fluids, grease, and refrigerant, refer to Chapter 9 in your Owners Manual.
