THX Integrated System (I/S) Plus is a category for home cinema systems that ensures full-blown THX performance and state-of-the-art technologies in an affordable, all-in-one receiver-speaker package. Geared to gamers and budding audiophiles, THX I/S Plus systems are ideal for small home cinemas where the screen-to-seat viewing distance is approximately 2.5 meters. HDMI 1.4a Support for 3D Video and Audio Return Channel
The four HDMI 1.4a inputs on the HT-S9305THXs A/V receiver let you simultaneously connect high-def sources such as a Blu-ray player, a gaming console, and a cable/satellite tuner. A single output then sends a pristine signal to your connected highresolution display. As the latest version of this connector, HDMI 1.4a adds the exciting possibilities of 3D video and an Audio Return Channel. 3D video is the next big thing in home entertainment, with movie, game, and broadcast content on the increase and 3D-compatible TVs coming to market. This system also offers the convenience of an Audio Return Channel via HDMI. Audio content received directly by your HDTVs tuner can be sent upstream to the A/V receiver, without the need for a separate S/PDIF audio cable.

Although the HT-S9305THX package comprises a 5.1-channel speaker set, the included A/V receiver actually handles up to 7.1 speaker channels. By adding two optional satellite speakers, you can take advantage of the front height channels of Dolby Pro Logic IIz. These channels carry ambient, nondirectional audio that helps immerse you even more deeply into your movies and games.
A-OMF (Advanced Onkyo Micro Fiber) Diaphragm
Onkyos proprietary A-OMF diaphragms incorporate a PEN (polyethylene naphthalate) layer with a flexible cotton weave that helps to make them stronger and more resistant to heat. Speakers using this diaphragm type achieve improved mid-range clarity and imaging, which in turn produces an astonishingly vivid, natural sound.
