Palm Treo 500v gets official release
Palm has just announced the release of its Treo 500v smartphone for the European market to be supported by Vodafone. The phone packs some of the most evolved solutions that this type of devices is capable of providing for their users.Palm Treo 500v runs on Windows Mobile 6, which earns it a place among the most evolved smartphones out there. The phone has leaked images all over the place and it's great to finally see it hitting the market at AT&T. IT is capable of handling instant messaging, SMS and email too, as to cover all available communication solutions."The Treo 500v is priced to enable a broader audience to experience the internet and email on the go. Today's generation has really embraced the internet as a way of keeping in touch with friends and family, seeking out entertainment and managing their day to day lives. We can offer users the choice to do what they want, how they want, when they want", said John Hartnett, Senior Vice President, Global Markets and Windows Business Unit, Palm, on the phone's release.The handset is capable of managing Outlook and Office documents, which enables the user to continue his work even when being outside the office. It can also share data access with a laptop through wireless coverage, one feature that might appeal to many users. The phone is a 3G enabled one, a feature that allows high speed internet access.Palm Treo 500v will be available from October at Vodafone in several European countries, such as Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, the UK. Vodacom customers will also have the chance of enjoying Palm's new smartphone in South Africa. The device will be available in the colors of glacier white and charcoal grey, but the price that it will come at has not been specified yet.
