STEADY ON. Shake Reduction. A creative eye and a firm hand do not always go together. PENTAX compact cameras all feature Shake Reduction (SR) to reduce camera shake and subject blur when shooting still images or movies. Pixel Track SR produces sharp images by tracking the level of blur at the pixel level. The blur is then easily removed as a post-capture process, all without adding any high ISO noise to the image. Digital Shake Reduction also freezes subject action, preventing blur by boosting the ISO sensitivity to speed up shutter response. The PENTAX X70 Megazoom camera even features mechanical SR via sensor-shift for the highest quality SR response.
