Home Preferences
- Takes you back to the Media Source page, or to the last ser ver you logged into. - General settings for the device like languages, subtitle languages, photo transition ef fects, locking the Setup pages, etc.
* UPnP AV Ser ver The NMT will automatically detect all available UPnP AV compliant content ser vers on bootup and list them on the Media Source page. No additional setup is necessar y on the NMT itself. Some ser vers may require additional authorization configuration on the ser ver side, such as the WMP- NSS described next.
Audio / Video Network Network Share
Note: To unlock the Setup pages, press Setup, follow by the Play key. - Digital/Analogue Video output settings as well as aspect ratio control and digital/analogue audio output settings. - Displays current IP information and allows configuration of network and timezone settings. - Configure your remote SMB and NFS shared folders here. You can choose to browse the available SMB shares on a Samba network. NFS shares will have to be entered manually.
* Setting up the full NMT application suite The NMT allows for the installation of an optional hard disk drive (HDD) that opens up a range of extra functionally.
* Windows Media Player Network Sharing Ser vice (WMP- NSS) To enable WMP- NSS sharing to the NMT, the NMT must first be authorized. From the WMP- NSS application, select the following menu options: Tools - > Options - > Librar y - > Configure Sharing Click the checkbox next to the Share my media to menu item. You should now have a list of detected devices to choose from on the menu below. Selecting a listed device and Right Clicking on it will show you a list of options. Select Proper ties to view details about each device. Find the device that matches the MAC address of your NMT and select the Allow menu item.
If your NMT does not already come with a pre-installed HDD, you can install your own HDD and enable full NMT functionality by following the steps below: 1) Turn OFF the NMT. 2) Attach a HDD directly to the NMT SATA connector and connect the molex power supply 3) Power on the NMT and goto the Setup -> Maintenance page and select the NMT setup wizard option. 4) Step through the NMT wizard to par tition, format and install NMT applications on the HDD. You can download the application binar y (http://www.popcornhour.com/download/firmware_update.html ) onto a USB thumbdrive and use that as the installation source. If you do not have the files to install the NMT applications Note: The NMTs MAC address can be found from the NMTs Setup -> Network page. It will be listed under the Ethernet Configuration heading. 5) After reboot, most of the NMT applications will star t up automatically. To manually Note: This step will DELETE ALL the data on your HDD ! available, you can opt to install the apps directly from the internet. Please make sure you have a internet connection available and that the NMT is connected to it.
Interface
When the NMT first star ts, the following navigation options are available:

URL format for the network share paths: SMB - smb://<ip address>/dir NFS - nfs://<ip address>:/dir (note the extra colon after IP address) - nfs-tcp://<ip address>:/dir (NFS using TCP protocol instead of UDP) - Configure the NMT media ser vers run state, SMB workgroup, device name and also the unified password which applies to both SMB and FTP access. Torrent settings allows the configuration of the BitTorrent client.
* Media Source This page is used to select which source you want to stream content from.

Networked Media Tank (NMT) Functions

Syabas provides a proprietar y ser ver for use with the NMT. Simply install the ser ver available for download at the following link: http://www.networkedmediatank.com/download/myihome.html Once installed, the ser ver should be automatically detected by the NMT and added to the Media Source page list. * myiHomeMS UPnP AV Ser ver

Web Services
A standard UPnP AV ser ver for streaming media directly from the NMTs HDD. The ser ver name will be displayed as <hostname>: UPnP AV Ser ver. Usage Instructions: - Under Setup -> Media Ser ver, you can see the current status of the media ser ver. A running ser ver will be detectable and accessible by all UPnP AV compliant DMP.

- Torrents can be managed by either clicking the Web Ser vices -> Torrent links from the NMT, or using a web browser on your PC and going to the following URL : http://<NMT IP ADDRESS>:8883/torrent /bt.cgi or follow Torrent links from http://<NMT IP ADDRESS>:8088 - Alternatively, for Window XP, you can goto Star t -> My Network Places -> Network Tasks. Select the Show Icons for networked UPnP devices option. The NMT will show up with its hostname. Double clicking on the icon will bring you to a page that will allow you to select the Torrent option.

and assign a drive letter to the connection so that you can access the folder using My Computer. Specify the drive letter for the connection and the folder that you want to connect to:

* FTP Ser ver Allows easy remote access and management of the NMTs HDD. The ser ver is always running by default after installing the NMT applications. Usage Instructions: - The FTP ser ver runs on the default por t (21). So just point your FTP client to <NMT IP Address> Username: nmt Password: 1234 (default) * NAS (NFS Ser ver) Note: FTP username is not configurable, but the password can be configured and is shared with the SMB ser ver.

* Usenet: Working with NZBGet Working with NZBGet is simple and quick. Connect to the NZBGet web GUI from a browser via http://ip.of.your.nmt:8066. Note: If the IP address of your NMT is 192.168.1.100, type http://192.168.1.100:8066 in the address bar of your web browser.
d) The mapped drive should appear in My Computer. - SMB defaults: Username: nmt Password : 1234
Note: You can configure the Hostname from the Setup -> Preferences -> Hostname option on the NMT.
- You can upload torrent files and control the torrent download settings from this page. - Torrent files are star ted automatically whenever the NMT browser encounters a.torrent file. You can also load.torrent file from USB storage devices. - You can also configure some client settings from the Setup -> Torrent page on the NMT.
To log in, use the following access username and password: User ID Password : nmt : 1234
This ser ver allows a remote PC to access the locally installed HDD on the NMT as a NFS share. Usage Instructions: The path to the NFS ser ver on NMT is <NMT IP ADDRESS>:/share
* Setting up the NZBGet on the NMT In the root of your hard disk you will find a folder called.nzbget. Inside this folder you will find two files: nzbget.conf and unpak.sh.
* Shutting down, Reboot and Powering down the unit The Power key will only turns of f the display for the unit. Power + Delete or - Shutdown the unit, ready to power of f, you will be able to get out of this state except a power cycle.
* NAS (SMB Ser ver) This ser ver allows a remote PC to access the locally installed HDD on the NMT as a SMB share. Usage Instructions: 1) Click on Star t -> Run. 2) Type \\<NMT Hostname> or \\<NMT IP ADDRESS> into the text box. 3) To allow for easier accesses to your NMT NAS in future, you can choose to map the SMB share as a drive under your My Computer folder of your PC. To do this:
Note: NFS ser ver access is not protected by password.
Note: Some FTP clients may hide this folder because it begins with a dot. On UNIX systems, files or folders that begin with a dot are hidden from normal director y listings. If you cannot see the folder, find an option on your client that will show hidden files or tr y to type in the folder name. - You can open and edit nzbget.conf with a text editor.

Apps Market - Internet Connection Required
1) Navigate to Web Ser vices -> Apps Market.
6) Navigate to Exit, return to Apps Market. 7) On Apps, navigate left to access your Apps Market that you have already installed.
2) While browsing the content of any writable source such as HDD, Samba or NFS Share, press corresponding colored button to enter Jukebox mode.
Note: During this period, it may switch to screen saver. You can interrupt the scanning process with the Stop button. Do not shut- down or stand-by your unit.
5) Once the scanning is done, it will enter Jukebox user inter face with video wall. 6) You may return to list view by using the corresponding colored key. 7) In Setup preference, NMJ database update must set to automatic, other wise it will not scan for new contents when entering Jukebox.

Networked Media Jukebox Guide 1) In Jukebox mode, press the MENU to access Jukebox option.
2) A list of apps market available for installation will be shown. 3) Navigate with your D-pad on your remote, and choose which apps market you like to install. 4) Choose Install and hit enter on the remote. You will be prompted to start the application once installation is successful.

Preparation for Jukebox Setup and Scanning 1) Movies - For more accurate Jukebox setup, we recommend you change the filename to remove any extra tagging other than the movie name. For example: movie_name_HD1080p.mkv should be renamed to: movie_name.mkv
3) If this is your first time, it will prompt for scanning of media files on your storage device, to build the user inter face.
T V series - If the T V series has multiple seasons, the files must be named as follows: tvseries S01E01.mkv tvseries S01E02.mkv. tvseries S01E02.mkv ( S = Season and E = Episode within that series ) 5) Hit Left on the D-pad to bring up the apps menu, which will provide more viewing options. If the T V series has no seasons, the file must be named as follows: tvseries_- _01_.mkv tvseries_- _02 _.mkv tvseries_- _03_.mkv. tvseries_- _ 26_.mkv

2) In Jukebox mode, press the MENU to access Help. 4) Press enter on OK and it will star t scanning through the storage for media files. After a few minutes, a progress indicator will be displayed on center corner. This process may take from a few minutes to hours, depending on the amount of content on your storage.
Note: If the cover ar t is incorrect for a movie of T V series after Jukebox setup, you can manually edit the information page for the par ticular item to correct the mistake.
