Samsung Launches Dual-SIM Touchscreen B5722 in India
Its first dual-SIM touchscreen phone
South Korean mobile phone maker has just launched a new device on the market in India, the touchscreen-enabled B5722. The main feature of the new device is that it is the first touchscreen phone from the handset vendor to include support for two SIM cards at the same time, but other appealing features are present with it as well, it seems. According to the news, the phone will also be known on the market as the B5722 DUOS. The specifications list of the new Samsung B5722 includes a 2.8-inch touchscreen display that boasts a QVGA resolution and support for 65k colors, along with a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper, and 30MB of internal memory. However, the phone also comes with a microSD memory card slot, offering users the possibility to add up to 8GB of additional storage space into the equation. The handset comes as a GSM+GSM dual SIM phone, enabling the use of two GSM SIM cards with it at the same time and the switch between them without the need to restart the device. It should be able to deliver up to 14 hours of talk time or up to 20 days of standby time, and it also provides support for GPRS class10 and EDGE class 10, but no 3G connectivity options. At the same time, we should point out that the touchscreen display will deliver the well-known TouchWiz user interface from Samsung, thrown over the company's proprietary operating system the B5722 comes pre-loaded with. Not to mention that it will boast appealing instant messaging features, along with support for social networking sites and FM radio capabilities. Moreover, the Samsung B5722 also includes a tracking software solution that will enable users to find the handset in case it is stolen or lost, and which has been updated so as to track the device within the radius of a few miles, it seems. The mobile phone is already available for purchase in India, featuring a price tag of Rs. 11,680.
