Samsung P2770FH LCD With 1ms Response Time Unveiled
Not long after unveiling a number of so-called monitor/HDTV hybrids, Samsung has added a new monitor to its Japanese website, a display of 27 inches dubbed P2770FH and whose most notable trait is the response time of 1ms.

Samsung definitely left an impression with its 90 and 30 Series of Full HD displays and the company appears unwilling to cease its string of releases just yet. What the outfit did was update its Japanese website with the product page of its latest liquid crustal display to feature a TN panel. Going by the name of P2770FH, this widescreen newcomer boasts fairly decent specifications, its greatest asset being the response time. Unlike with other monitors, which settle for 5ms, the response time of this newcomer is of 1ms. Of course, as consumers may have guessed, in terms of video quality, the screen has a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The monitor also features a brightness of 300 cd/m2 and a dynamic contrast ratio of 70,000:1 (1000:1 contrast ratio). What's more, for compatibility with a large number of graphics solutions, the P2770FH is outfitted with D-Sub, DVI and HDMI inputs. Finally, the 27-inch (597.89 &times; 336.31mm) display solution has viewing angles of 170 degrees horizontal and 160 degrees vertical, plus approximately 16.77 million colors. All in all, this product should become a strong suitor for systems aimed at multimedia or gaming, as it has both Full HD support and a short response time, excellent during FPS and other highly immersive games. Unfortunately, the hardware maker has not yet disclosed the price, although one should not be overly disheartened, considering that availability is, currently, slated for September. Until the tag is revealed, end-users interested in such a purchase need only visit the official product page should they desire a first-hand view of the specifications.
