Samsung S3600 Announced

The Samsung i7110 leaks, the Samsung S3600 gets announced, all on the same day
One thing is for sure: Samsung makes phones for everybody and every pocket. It gave us the highly expected Pixon (a really high-end cameraphone), then some info leaked about its mysterious i7100 (which seems to be a mid-end phone), and the only thing to complete the list would be a more low-middle-end handset. This is where the S3600 comes in.  The S3600 is a pretty elegant clamshell, with a metallic body, without an external screen but with a big 2.2 inch 65K color TFT display - yet the resolution is only 176 x 220 pixels. The handset offers a decent wireless solution with Bluetooth EDR and data transfer with the EDGE support and also USB 2.0. The internal memory for this one is of 30 MB and it is expandable up to 2GB trough a microSD memory card. As almost all the phones these days provide not solely communication but also come with multimedia capabilities, Samsung S3600 delivers a 1.3 megapixel camera, FM radio with RDS and broadcast recording, as well as videorecording supporting MPEG4 and H.263 formats. This phone is clearly designed for the masses, but Samsung doesn't seem to think that if it's for the masses it has to be ugly, so it made it into a stylish device, that you won't be ashamed to show on the street. The price that is expected for the S3600 is somewhere around 80 Euros without taxes, which seems pretty decent for what the device has to offer. No information regarding availability though, but considering the fact that it was announced, the waiting won't be too long. Worst case scenario, the phone should be available somewhere around Christmas, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it offered for free with a new subscription.
