Samsung L770 Released in Russia

For about 256 Euros

Samsung has recently released a new mobile phone in the world's largest country, Russia, to answer the needs of users who want fashionable mid-end handsets. The new phone we're talking about is Samsung L770 (or Samsung SGH-L770), a slider that was first presented by the South Korean manufacturer back in February, together with other mid to low-end devices like Samsung i200, Samsung J700 and Samsung E251. When it comes to features, Samsung L770 brings the following: tri-band GSM connectivity (900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) with GPRS and EDGE, HSDPA connectivity (but only on the 2100 MHz frequency), a 2.1 inch TFT display with 240 x 320 pixels and 262K colors, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, Music player (supporting MP3, AMR, WMA, SMAF, XMF, I-Melody, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, MIDI and SP MIDI), FM radio with RDS, Video player, email, Web browser, document viewer (Word, PowerPoint), mobile printing, voice memo, speakerphone, pre-installed games (Java), USB 2.0, 30MB of internal memory and microSD card support. A 2 Megapixel camera with digital zoom and video recording is also packed in the L770, plus a front-facing camera for making video calls via the 3G connectivity. The new Samsung weighs only 84 grams and, when closed, it measures 103 x 48 x 14 millimeters. Its 880 mAh battery is capable of providing up to five hours of talk-time (two and a half hours if the handset is used only on a 3G network) or up to 200 hours of stand-by time. Samsung SGH-L770 can be bought in Russia for a retail price of 7,990 Rubles, the equivalent of 256 Euros or 336 USD. Besides Russia, the slider is also available in other European and Asian countries and it should soon be on sale on most of the markets on these two continents. As for the Americas, it's unlikely that Samsung will release the L770 there, too.
