It is easy to use. The touch screen helps; it is better than dials or knobs. It is small, compact and not heavy. The cd romp eliminates book.

SAMSUNG DualView ST600
Two LCD screens are better than one, right? That's been Samsung's mindset for 2010, and the Samsung DualView ST600 joins the TL210, along with the rest of the company's dual-monitor lineup this Fall. We liked the TL210 not only for its additional monitor, which aided selfportrait shooting, but because the camera produced decent images and offered a respectable level of manual controls. Samsung DualView ST600 Point-and-Shoot Camera "Unlike any other feature found on digital cameras, consumers immediately recognize the value of what our dual LCD technology can do for them. There is no learning curve or technical understanding that must be achieved as it is a natural extension of what our customers are already doing. Samsung is looking to simplify that task with the new ST600 and ST100, ensuring they have the ability to take the perfect profile shot, and never have to miss that perfect picture moment with family and friends, even if they're not behind the camera," said SJ Park, President of Samsung Digital Imaging Division. In our experience, when you shoot with a DualView, subjects have the ability to interact with the photographer, since they see what the photographer sees. The LCD screen also seamlessly blends into the body of the camera for a sleek look. We get a high-quality Schneider KREUZNACH lens with a 5x optical zoom and Optical and Digital Image Stabilization on the Samsung DualView ST600, in addition to a 27mm wide-angle spread. As far as imaging goes, the Samsung DualView ST600 has a 14.2-megapixel sensor and Samsung's Smart Auto scene recognition technology in Photo or Video mode. We hope the Samsung ST600's sensor is not just another entry into the megapixel war, for we'd rather have a 10megapixel sensor that takes advantage of the smaller sensor more efficiently. The ability to capture giant images isn't necessary because a majority of ST600 users will be uploading their images directly to YouTube. Size doesn't matter, and Samsung needs to get that because otherwise we'll just have beginners taking small poster-sized images and not knowing how to resize them for web uploading or sending via email to friends. Samsung has boosted the size of the DualView ST600's LCD to 1.8-inches, up from the previous 1.5-inches on the TL models. A Self-Portrait mode will be available on the Samsung DualView ST600, along with a couples mode that detects two heads tilted toward one anotherwe can't wait to test that out. The Children's mode is back as well, hopefully not with that frightening video of the demonic clown, beckoning us to look into the ST600's lens while he sucks our soul into his red nose. We also get a Jump Shot mode, where the front LCD will provide a visual cue for enthusiastic life go-getters to leap into the air while the camera captures a series of three images, one of which will portray the champion shot of a cheesy 80's freezeframe. Samsung's Smart Gesture User Interface is incorporated into the Samsung ST600, allowing shooters to access key features with a tilt or hand gesture. Scrolling through images can be dictated by tilting the camera in either direction, swiping the screen, or playing images in a slideshow. For the stylish shooters, the Samsung ST600 will come in purple and pink, and is constructed of a slim metal body. For rear-end monitoring, the Samsung DualView ST600 has a 3.5-inch LCD, but there's no word on the pixel count, which we think will be around 230,000. We get in-camera image editing, including Rezise, Rotate, and Trimming, and a Photo Style Selector lets shooters choose between image effects like Retro, Cool, Calm, Classic, and Negative. 720p 30fps H.264 video surfaces on the Samsung DualView ST600, as well as Fish Eye, Miniature, and Sketch Effect image filters.

Samsung Adds ST600 and ST100 Models to DualView Family
Featuring advanced shooting features dual displays
Samsung DualView ST600 Samsung
As you will certainly remember, we were extremely pleased with Samsung's ST550 DualView digital camera, which we've had the chance of taking for quite a ride (more details on this topic are available in our extensive review). For this reason, we're quite happy to see that the Korean company has decided to up the ante in this field and launched two new DualView models, the ST600 and the ST100. The new flagship models of the Samsung DualView camera family, the ST600 and ST100 each received an upgrade to their front LCD screens, activated by a simple tap, which now measure 1.8" compared to the 1.5" front LCD screens found on their DualView predecessors. With larger front LCD screens, the ST600 and ST100 make it easier for consumers to properly frame themselves in their photos and videos and be part of the action by stepping out from behind the camera and joining friends and family in front. Furthermore, the Samsung DualView ST600 and ST100 come equipped with high-quality Schneider KREUZNACH lenses which are supported by Optical and Digital Image Stabilization to help consumers produce blur-free images. The ST600 combines a powerful 27mm wide-angle focal length with a 5x optical zoom, while the ST100 is the first Samsung DualView digital camera to feature an internal, 5x optical zoom, which keeps the design optimally chic (35mm focal-length). The new ST600 and ST100 feature Samsung's Smart Auto (Still & Movie) scene recognition technology, which analyzes key elements of the composition of the image such as color, brightness, motion and subject and then selects the appropriate scene mode which will produce the best results. Additional features offered by the cameras' front LCD screens include a self-portrait mode, a couples mode which will automatically snap a photo when it detects two faces tilted toward each other, a children's setting which will play a cartoon animation with sound to encourage young ones to smile for the camera, and a self-timer which provides a visual countdown so that everyone posing for a photo knows exactly when to smile. The newest feature incorporated into the front LCD screen is Samsung's jump shot mode. When set to jump shot mode, the front LCD will provide a visual queue to those in front of the camera to jump in unison, and immediately trigger the ST600 or ST100 to take three consecutive images to help users capture an image that essentially freezes their subjects in mid-air. The ST600 and ST100 also incorporate Samsung's Smart Gesture User Interface (UI) which allows for the quick access and use of key features with either a simple tilt or a hand gesture. Users can quickly scroll through photos by slightly tilting the device in either direction, swiping their finger across the screen, or by selecting the appropriate photos for a slide show. Both new DualView cameras from Samsung are slated to arrive in stores at some point in September, with the ST100 selling for around $349.99, while the ST600 will be available at just $329.99.
