Sony Introduces New Home Theatre Systems with Monolithic Design Concept Latest home theatre system series enhances home entertainment experience with USB video playback, HDMI (1080p) connectivity and up to 1000W of power output

Hong Kong, March 23, 2010 Sony Corporation of Hong Kong Limited today introduced three new models to its Home Theatre System range - DAV-DZ910W, DAV-TZ710 and DAV-TZ210. The new models feature Sonys new unique Monolithic Design Concept - a seamless blend of high-quality design and a beautiful surface finish - that adds a stylish, minimalist presence in your living room. The new Home Theatre Systems deliver all the thrills of a powerful exciting, immersive home cinema experience with easy-to-use, high performance features. The DAV-DZ910W incorporates Sonys advanced S-AIR (Sony Audio Interactive Radio Frequency) digital wireless transmission technology to bring you the close-to-original digital sound without compression or interference. The plug & play design on the S-AIR digital wireless set ensures a neat and clean layout. This high performance model also comes with the Digital Cinema Auto Calibration (DCAC) to detect where the speakers have been placed and to calculate the ideal volume, delay and frequency settings for optimum sound settings. convenient feature enables the system to optimize the sound field for an ultimate home theater experience when the Digital Cinema Sound (DSC) mode is used. All the new systems feature 12 bit/108MHz video DAC and are also capable of upscaling your existing DVDs to near HD 1080p resolution through the connection with HDTV via a HDMI cable. Superior picture quality is supplemented by stunning audio effects brought by Dolby PRO LOGIC, Dolby Digital and DTS, bringing a true cinematic experience to your home. The three systems are equipped with Sonys S-Master digital amplifier to deliver powerful audio performance with close-to-original sound quality. The DAV-DZ910W delivers stunning sound effects with power output of 1000W while both the DAV-TZ710 and DAV-TZ210 offer 600W. The DAV-DZ910W and DAV-TZ710 come with four floor-standing main speakers for front and rear, left and right channels, a high-power subwoofer and a center speaker as standard. The DAV-TZ210 comprises of five compact satellite speakers and a powerful subwoofer. USB video playback function is included to allow customers to enjoy video clips in DivX and MPEG4 formats. The new home theatre systems also support a wide range of formats including DVD, SACD, CD, Video CD, CD-R/RW, DVD-R/+R/+R DL, DVD+RW, DVD-RW(VR), Divx Playback, MPEG 4, JPEG and MP3.
