Sony Announcing Xplod Additions, DSX-S200X and DSX-S300BTX

Sony has just unveiled fresh additions to its Xplod car audio range, namely the DSX-S200X and DSX-S300BTX. These products are a completely new car audio concept that has been developed to meet this ever growing tendency of digital listening, as in MP3 from portable media players, rather than optical storage mediums. Both the new additions feature a neat detachable faceplate, with a highly visible OEL four-line display and a second USB connection, which should suit the likes of you that usually keep a USB drive next to your Tune Tray, while playing tracks from your PMP or mobile phone. Selecting music is as simple as it gets, thanks to Sony's features like SensMe channels, Zappin and Quick-BrowZer. Taking advantage of the same tech like on Walkman, SensMe channels enables customers to discover their whole music library in a new way, while also being capable of automatically sorting music into difference channels, by type of mood, including Freeway, Morning Commute, Midnight Cruise and others. Zappin, on the other hand, is what Sony calls shuffle, but does it only between the tracks that customers already highlighted, and thus makes it easier for finding the right track when not sure what to listen to. If these two can't help, then you will surely enjoy the Quick-BrowZer that allows searching by artist, album, genre, playlist, file or folder by just rotating the volume dial and pressing to select. Also, these two sport Sony's proprietary Advanced Sound Engine taking care of digital signal processing, delivering the most suitable in-car sound, thanks to features like EQ7, Listening Position, DM+ advanced, Rear Bass Enhancer and Dynamic Loudness. Sadly, I will also have to tell you that you shouldn't wish for any of these just yet, because the company mentioned availability starting with August 2010.
