The SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card, which you get from your network operator, contains information about your subscription. Always turn off your phone and detach the charger before you insert or remove the SIM card.

Supported services and features
Some of the services and features described in this User guide are not supported by all networks and/or service providers in all areas. Without limitation, this applies to the GSM International Emergency Number 112. Please contact your network operator or service provider to determine availability of any specific service or feature and whether additional access or usage fees apply.

Charging the battery

The phone battery is partly charged when you buy it. To charge the battery
Connect the charger to the phone. Remove the charger by tilting the plug upwards.
The battery will start to discharge a little after it is fully charged and then charges again after a certain time. This is to extend battery life and may result in the charge status showing a level below 100 percent.
Maximising battery performance
Charge your phone often. The battery lasts longer if you charge it frequently. If you are in an area with no coverage, your phone repeatedly scans for available networks. This consumes power. If you cannot move to an area with better coverage, turn off your phone temporarily. Turn off 3G and Bluetooth wireless technology when you do not need these functions. Do not cover the phone antenna when you are engaged in a call.
Go to www.sonyericsson.com/support to learn more about how to maximise the battery performance.

You could try and make some using Sony Ericsson Themes Creator or browse the internet for Zylo themes etc? Some recommended sites are eseth, zedge, lasyk etc

I am a theme artist and I am using the latest ThemesCreator (4.16.2.6). I want to create a theme for my wife's Zylo but the Zylo isn't on the list of phones in Themes Creator. I've noticed that the Zylo apppears as a W20i when searching for Bluetooth phones. The W20i isn't on Themes Creator's list either. Sony Ericsson
By the way, I would steer well clear of Zedge. Many of the themes there are leeched from more reputable sites where theme artists upload their work. Esato, Laskys, Mobile9 and Tehkseven protect their artists by forbidding leeched themes. As a result, they get first hits for artists' newest creations and their featured themes are newer and of a higher quality.

Is there anyone from Sony Ericsson out there who can tell me why theming is effectively disabled for the Zylo?
Don't ya just love being ignored?

the zylo and spiro supports only limited softwares and themes just like w205..wish SE had designed it like W810i,w580i,w995 etc which would support large number of softwares, themes &applications.very dissapointed with zlyo n spiro..

I have been designing my own themes for my Zylo and have found that you can essentially use Hazel in the themes creator as it has an almost identical theming to the Zylo, however it

is frakkin annoying to have a couple of things that it's not possible to tweak because of the compatabilities. Has there been any news on whether the Zylo/w20i is going to get added to the Themes Creator yet?

If you want to make some elementals changes on the themes you can open it on Ubuntu or Debian simply changing.thm files to.tar Open it with file-roller and seek whathever you like to change and edit ti on GIMP. When you finish tar the file and change back.tar file to.thm

I do it with a K310 theme and works perfectly. I have no machine running any Linux and is very difficult to get a tar for win.
You can try with one of the themes from the phone. Only need to copy one to the memcard and Voila.you can change what you like.
A recommendation.don't put transparent what were not before.

download themes of the old fons like w995,w595 as these are easily and widely availaible , just make sure that the fon whose theme u r searching has a resolution of 240x320, now open sony ericsson thems creator in edit themes mode and select yari as your phone , then open the downloaded theme , it will ask you to convert the theme to newer version , click yes , then after a bit of customisation on your own or even without that save the theme , then transfer it to the fon, in this way , your themes will work and you will have a great variety of themes too

after trial and error with the Themes Creator

downloaded from: http://developer.sonyericsson.com/wportal/devworld/technology/themes-creator/overview? cc=gb&lc=en
I selected the Sony Z750, instead of the missing Spiro model a.k.a w100i, and the themes I created worked fine

Hope it helps,

good luck

hey, thanks guys. Now I can change the **** theme like other models.Z750i themes worked well except that the animated wallpapers aren't supported it seems. No gif wallpaper can be used which is confusing because on the official spiro page, it lists Wallpaper Animation as a feature!!
How come this phone doesn't animation of any sort (themes and wallpapers wise)?

well, it's a Sagem. nothing good can be expected from it

I didn't buy Sagem tho. This IS a Sony Ericsson branded phone, that's it.And the official specifications states Wallpaper Animation is supported. So it's a problem/bug that needs to be sorted out ASAP.

I have a question about Spiro. I downloaded the theme creator, chose z750 as my phone and created a theme. It works quite well, but there is no background in the walkman part and in the media part (where you can delete/edit/check your media files). (btw the walkman also belongs to the media) I opened the theme in xml format within the creator and and inserted the line manually that was needed: <Media_portrait_background_image Source="(here I entered the name of a picture that was already in the theme)"/> I saved the xml file, but this line was deleted from it. And the interesting thing is, that when I opened an original theme (Samba.thm) that I copied from the phone itself this line was not in the xml again (but I know that it is there, because I previously opened the theme with notepad, and it was there). I also tried to edit the theme in the notepad. In this case the line was not deleted, but the phone could not use the theme because of an error (checksum).
