Sony has just announced one of its newest products in the Walkman series, codenamed NWZ-W202. Far from being just another Walkman, this new music gadget has been created to meet the needs of active individuals, no matter whether they'll be jogging or exercising at the gym, weightlifting or cycling. Since the wiring is one of the things that plague mobility when it comes to music, Sony has managed to give birth to a design that has cut them down to a minimum, while at the same time adding valuable points to the simplicity scale. The Sony Walkman NWZ-W202 may look like two Bluetooth headsets linked together with a wire that passes around the back of your neck. However, there is actually more than meets the eye, as Sony has put up its best in minimizing each component. The Walkman NWZ-W202 is a tiny digital player that will live up to your wildest expectations - as the company is renowned to be a very heavy name in the audio industry, we could almost vouch that the new product is loaded with the niftiest technologies and DACs to date. This new digital music player can handle MP3/AAC/WMA (DRM)/L-PCM and WMT files, and sports a 2GB storage. If it came with such a memory some 4 years ago, maybe we'd have all gone "Wow!", but for 2009 2GB is rather disappointing. Nevertheless, the Sony Walkman NWZ-W202 compensates this almost diminutive storage capacity by bringing forth a very cool battery/power feature: this piece of audio gadgetry can be fully charged in only half an hour, and it stores enough current to provide you with up to 12 hours of music playback, which is totally cool. We can expect the Sony Walkman NWZ-W202 to arrive in major shops in April 2009, for a price around $70, which is also absolutely excellent.
