|Beautiful right out of the box. Sound quality is pretty good but other features make up the difference wireless, radio option etc. Right out of the box, I was impressed with the features and design of the unit. Sound quality was pretty good but not as great as a wired unit. It was what I expected and set up easily . when you set it up make sure you push that air module all the way in and it should snap in.|

XX DMI repeater technology is in many of the 2010 H Audio systems because of its critical importance. XX igital Cinema Sound and its evolutionary D counterpart HD-Digital Cinema Sound showcases Sonys leading sound performance straight from the stages where many movies mixes are created. XX - AIR Technology allows for both Wireless Rear speakers S and/or Multi-room Audio and extends into AV Receivers. 2
Is your customer looking to buy a Blu-ray Disc Player and Sound System? Then an Integrated BDV-E570 or BDV-E770 may be a great match for them.

Blu-ray Disc Audio
Near Theater quality uncompressed audio Thanks to a faster bit rate and more storage space, Blu-ray Disc technology can help realize greater picture quality and provide up to uncompressed 7.1 channels of Linear PCM surround sound (depending on the media). The Blu-ray Disc format is also capable of supporting advanced audio formats like Dolby TrueHD or dts HD. This can translate to an audio experience closer to the way the director intended and more theater-like than ever before right into your customers living room. Dolby TrueHD1 Delivers lossless studio master quality audio designed specifically for high definition entertainment. An incredible sound stage, dynamic range and a stellar Home Theater experience await you with Dolby TrueHD. dts -HD1 Deliver sound quality that matches the crystal clear images of Blu-ray Disc media. With up to 7.1 channels of surround sound and audio that is nearly identical to the original studio version, dts -HD promises you an extraordinary surround experience.
HDMI Repeater Technology
HDMI technology should be so simple. Just plug your HDMI enabled source into an HDMI equipped TV or sound system and away you go with the best audio and video possible. But what should be simple isnt always. When you sell an Audio system or A/V Receiver you should make it as easy as possible for your customers to understand how it works and how to get the best results. To do that you should always recommend an audio solution that has an HDMI repeater built into it. Here is why: Without a HDMI repeater a customer might plug their electronics into their TV and have to run audio into their sound system via optical cable. Without Repeater Not only does this make for a messy setup but also Bluray Disc Audio will not be passed to the speakers. This way of hooking everything up eliminates the possibility of getting the best audio Blu-ray Disc technology can offer.
One other quick note. Because of the sheer amount of data involved, lossless Blu-ray Disc Audio can only be carried over a HDMI cable. This means that any system that is using digital coax or digital optical cables is not delivering the best audio possible from Blu-ray Disc technology.
Also note that some sound systems have HDMI switching so you can connect devices directly to the sound system and have the video passed to the TV but that only delivers 2 channel audio. That's why having an HDMI repeater is critical. Without Repeater With Repeater

The ideal way to connect devices is by using an HDMI cable. The following list of Sony products have multiple HDMI inputs and offer HDMI repeater technology. XX HT-CT100 XX HT-CT500 XX HT-SS370 XX STR-DH510 XX STR-DH710 XX STR-DH810 XX STR-DN1000
1. Enjoying dts-HD or Dolby-True HD sound requires media and audio systems that support this technology.
Digital Cinema Sound
However, in the home environment, these three important elements are missing. For this reason, Sony has employed advanced digital signal processing (DSP) technology to create Digital Cinema Sound, which accurately recreates acoustic characteristics which closely resemble those of a movie theater in the home. Cinema Studio EX mode has been created from these three elements. 1. irtual Multi Dimension, which recreates the V environment of multiple surround speakers 2. creen Depth Matching, which recreates the sensation S of sound coming through a movie screen. 3. Cinema Studio Reverberation (A C), which recreates the unique acoustic environment of a movie theater. Cinema Studio EX mode is a compound operation mode, with these three forms of acoustic processing performed simultaneously. (Depending upon the surround parameters, separate levels and functions can be adjusted.) With DCS you can transform any movie soundtrack into what the director and the Sound experts at Sony Pictures intended right in your living room.
The movies that we all see in movie theaters are made up of a soundtrack and moving images from film. In order for movies to recreate a realistic environment that extends beyond the four corners of the screen, the soundtrack is critical to the experience. To do this, the various sounds and their respective orientation, are practically as important as the images themselves. The realism of a freezing blizzard or a tidal wave from the comfort of your theater seat. The sound of a helicopter coming from directly above you, even though it cannot be seen on the screen. Expressing these situations requires the creation of three-dimensional acoustic environments so that the movie can expand beyond limitations of the scene presented on a flat screen. This is an important technical activity performed by the people who make movies. When the movie is played back as it is in the home environment, it is difficult to achieve the kind of sound reproduction normally experienced in a theater. This is because the acoustic conditions of a home listening room and a movie theater are fundamentally different. Sonys original Digital Cinema Sound technology uses DSP technology to recreate the acoustic environment of a movie theater in the home, and this enables the reproduction of movie soundtracks closer to what the director had intended. DCS was developed jointly by Sony and Sony Pictures Entertainment (in California.) In actual use, this technology enables the reproduction of movie soundtracks as they are recorded in Hollywood. Sony Pictures Entertainment operates several large-scale mixing studios that are all equipped with the latest editing equipment, and the facilities and environment are so favorable that other movie companies often rent these facilities to create the soundtracks for their movies. The director and audio technicians listen to the various sounds. It is the sound characteristics of these studios that need to be caught and reproduced in a movie theater using 3 elements: multiple surround sound speakers, speaker placement behind the screen and acoustic reverberation. All of these can easily be built in a Movie Theater.
With the development of the lossless audio available with Blu-ray Disc technology the potential accuracy of the sound field grew exponentially. That enabled Sony engineers to go back to the studio and create a lossless digital equivalent. This HD-D.C.S. sound field when married to the lossless audio codecs, provides a higher level of auditory imagery. Now, not only can you hear the cannon ball whizzing past your ear but you can follow the movement of that sound with your ears. While this feature is only found in the STR-DA3500 and STR-DA5500 ES receivers currently, it shows the direction that Sony is heading.

How to Demo BRAVIA Internet Video
The best way to sell devices with BRAVIA Internet Video is to demonstrate it.
If you dont have a Internet connection on the shelf where the unit will reside, make sure to bring the player to a connection and set it up. Follow these steps: 1. Connect the player to a TV and to a high speed Internet connection. 2. Turn the unit on. 3. Go through the easy first time set up that should come up (If it doesnt, go to the far left on the menu system and scroll down to Setup. Follow the directions and when it asks about turning on quick start, choose Yes. This will allow the unit to power up in seconds. 4. Scroll down to Internet Settings - follow the directions and make sure the Internet connection is working. 5. Once the Internet is connected hit the home button and scroll over to the right where it says video. 6. The first time you choose the Video section it will automatically go to the web and load the services available. Now you are ready to show the services. Obviously if the player is taken to an area that doesnt have an internet connection you can just scroll through the service providers that you previously loaded on the player and explain what they are. Here are a couple of more simple tips to follow before you show off the player:
Go to YouTube and search for something safe and appropriate for your customers to view. The player has the ability to remember what your most recent searches are. This is critical because, while YouTube does a good job keeping inappropriate matter off their service you dont want to be showing off anything that might offend your customers. Having the pre-made search allows for you to feel better about showing off the player. Another side benefit is that the player can loop the YouTube videos and keep playing. When showing leave the video running in the small window so people can see that they are looking at YouTube and not a bad video feed. If your customer wants to see the image full screen you can hit the right arrow on the circular area of the remote and then hit the center button in that circle. This will bring a full screen up. You might be able to cycle through the screen sizes depending on the video by hitting the up or down button on the circle. To go back to the YouTube search list with video simply hit return. Go to the Audio area of the players menu system and you will see the Slacker icon. You should show this off to talk about Personalized Radio streaming. What is really cool about Slacker is that the service is free and the user can rate songs or artists to personalized their stations.
Additional Key Information
The BDP-S370, BDP-S470,BDP-S570, BDV-E570, and BDV-E770 have some rather unique things going for them:
Quick Start and Quick Play
One of the things you will notice this year with these players is how quickly they can start up and start playing a movie. This is critical because waiting around for a movie to start is not something anyone enjoys. When the Quick Start feature is turned on in the menu they players just jump to life. Last years BDP-S360 was one of the fastest starting players (with the mode turned on). This year the BDP-S370 can power up from off in about half the time of last years model. Traditionally Blu-ray Disc media has taken a long time to load and start playing. Once again Sony has come to the rescue and these new players start movies much faster. When comparing last years BDP-S360 with this years BDP-S370 the player can start discs in up to 40 - 50% less time (depending on the media being played).
More and more PCs are coming with the ability to share content with other devices through something called DLNA. The theory is that your customers can store their music, photos and videos on their PCs and access them through non DLNA enabled traditional devices through their home network. These players (BDP-S370, BDP-S470, BDP-S570, BDV-E570, BDV-E770) will have a firmware update (coming early Summer 2010) available to your customers that will add this functionality. The update will be automatic if your customer has their player connected to the Internet but can also be downloaded and burned to disc from our support site. Adding this functionality will enable these players to pull music, videos, and photos from DLNA enabled PCs your customer might have. There are some conditions to how DLNA works so please remind your customers to check the owners manual or PCs operation guide to learn more.
USB Playback of Audio, Video, and Photo files2
Another cool feature of the Integrated Blu-ray Disc home theater systems is the ability to plug USB based MP3 players into the USB ports on the front of these units and access content directly from the MP3 player. No special docks are needed. Use the remote to control your music playback. For devices that need iTunes to load music into them, no meta data will be shown on the TVs screen, but for other players the track name and other information may be displayed if it exists on the file. Of course you can also plug in USB flash drives and play Audio, Video and Photos as well. 2 Another feature associated with this is that FAT32 Hard Disc Drives can also be supported. We do recommend that they are self powered so there are less issues with turning off the power on the audio system. So now your customers can have a music server either via DNLA or Hard Disc Drive. Pretty cool!
Entertainment Database Browser1 Powered by Gracenote technology
Since these players are single disc players you pretty much know the title of the movie you are putting in. That might make you scratch your head and wonder why we put an Internet service that can identify the disc you are playing into these players. Well, there are a couple of reasons. Starting with the ability to get additional information about the movie, like cast, director, what other movies the actor has been in, release dates, writers, notes and more. Pretty cool that you dont have to watch all the credits to see all of that. But now you are saying Who cares? All of that information is on the disc anyway. Well your customers should care. Dont forget that these players have the BRAVIA Internet Video application. Sony took the extra step of connecting the cross media search of the BRAVIA Internet Video application with the Gracenote lookup feature. What does this mean? Coming later this year (via firmware update), when your customer watches a movie with an actor that they like, they will be able to automatically search Internet content relating to that actor very simply. Drop a music CD into the player and it will be able to identify the artist and recommend some internet content relating to that artist if such content can be found. To access this application, when available, simply hit the Options button on the remote while watching a movie or playing a music disc. The pop up menu on the right side of the screen will show the search options and allow your customer to navigate seemlessly to the cross search application of the player to see what selections come up with the search of the actor or other thing being searched for.
WI-FI and Wi-Fi ready with Adapter
The BDP-S570, has a built in Wi-Fi chipset so connecting any of them to the Internet in any Wi-Fi enabled home is a breeze. Optional UWA-BR100 USB Wi-Fi Adapter The BDP-S370 and BDP-S470 are both Wi-Fi ready. Simply purchase an optional UWA-BR100 USB adapter (sold
separately for the BDP-S370 and BDP-S470 or use the supplied adapter for the BDV-E570 and BDV-E770.) Then these players can also connect to a Wi-Fi router just as easily as the BDP-S570. Its quick and easy.
One last tip.since you are a professional we know that you like to demonstrate great content to your customers. The big problem with that, though, is when you turn your back, that content goes walking. To prevent that from happening simply put your disc in the player and hit Stop and Pause at the same time for 5 Seconds. You will notice that the display reads Locked and the tray will not open. Thus your disc will not go walking away. To unlock the tray do the same thing and after 5 seconds the display will read Unlocked.
