2.3 Using Stream Punch GP-501
Using Stream Punch GP-501, the following six types of punch holes can be made in printed sheets.

Punching File Holes in Copies
Copies will be punched in this mode. Follow the procedure below to select the paper size 8.v and punch position. To select the punch hole type, change the die set to the desired one.
Detail For detailed specifications of Stream Punch GP-501, see page 21.
Prerequisites 0 Available paper size is 8.v only. Do not use 8.w. 0 A power switch is provided on the stream punch. Be sure to turn it on before turning on the main and sub power switches of the main body. 0 The die set model currently mounted on the stream punch cannot be checked from the control panel. If required, open the front door of the stream punch to check it before the operation.

Position the original. Touch [Punch] on the Copy Screen.
The Output Application icon shows the punch position currently selected. If you want to change the punch position, proceed to the following steps.
Touch [Output Appli.] on the Copy Screen. The Output Application Screen will be displayed.

Touch [Hole-Punch].

The Hole-Punch Screen will be displayed.
Touch the desired key to select the punch position.
Touch [OK]. To restore the previous setting, touch [Cancel]. To release the Hole-Punch function with the current punch position setting remained, touch [Function Off]. The Output Application Screen will be restored.
Touch [OK] on the Output Application Screen. The specified output mode icon will be displayed on the Copy Screen.
2.3.2 Exchanging the Die Set

Procedure

Open the stream punch front door.
Turn the knob GP4 clockwise to set the die set punch blade position indicator to the horizontal position as shown in the illustration. Be sure to align the die set punch blade position indicator to the horizontal line, otherwise the die set cannot be withdrawn.
Slowly withdraw the die set.
Take out the desired die set from the rack to replace it with the one currently set. Securely set the die set in position.
Put the replaced die set into the rack. The replaced die set is supposed to be stored in the rack.
Close the stream punch front door.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Emptying Waste Basket of Stream Punch GP-501
When the waste basket of the Stream Punch GP-501 becomes full, the Punch Waste Basket indicator lights in red in the option status area of the Machine Status Screen.
Follow the procedure below to empty the waste basket.
Reminder Once withdrawing the waste basket, be sure to empty it even if a small amount of punch scraps collects in the basket. Otherwise, punch scraps may overflow due to the delay in indicating the emptying operation. To empty the waste basket
Open the stream punch door.
Withdraw the waste basket.

Empty the waste basket.

Return the waste basket to its original position, then close the stream punch door securely.
If Burrs Remain in Punch Holes Using Stream Punch GP501
If you find burrs remaining in punch holes when using the Stream Punch GP501, lubrication is required for the die set currently used. Lubricate it at the position illustrated below.
