| I was looking for a scanner that could scan film negatives on a budget, and considered serveral alternatives. The Canoscan 8800f actually exceeded my expectations. This is no small feat considering all the electronic junk being pushed out there. I bought one of these scanners to primarily digitize film. Both 35mm and 120 roll from my Hasselblad. As you may be aware. No warm up time, Quick set-up, Easy to use, Clearer Images I should have bought it sooner! | |

| I Love this scanner, FAST, great scans, Very well built unit. Includes film adaptors. This thing is all that you hear it is. The only problem is the size, but it delivers with large sized scans. My old scanner would not work with my Xp PC. | |

| I Love this scanner, FAST, great scans, Very well built unit. Includes film adaptors. For scanning photos and negatives, this is a great scanner - it has great quality, very fast scans, and almost no startup time, as it uses white LED. The scanner worked better than I expected. Be sure to download the latest drivers from the Canon website. I compared the output of the unit against its primary competitor (the Espon V500). While I liked the Epson software better. | |
