Brother International Corporation will begin shipping the latest addition to its line of sergers, the 3034D, to authorized Brother Innov-is dealers this fall, the company said today. Simple, basic and easy to use, the two-needle, 3/4 thread serger sews at up to 1,300 stitches per minute. Threading is easy thanks to color-coded guides for the top threads and improvements to the lower looper threading system. Stitch adjustments for length, width and differential feed are easily made using the convenient dials. The machine has a differential feed ratio of.7 to 2.0 with variable stitch length and width to help you create the perfect stitch for your project. The 3034D serger comes equipped with a blind stitch foot, a gathering foot and a trim trap to keep sewing area neat. Included with purchase is an instructional DVD in six languages. BRIDGEWATER, N.J. Brother International Corporation introduces the QC1000, the latest addition to its Quilt Club machine line, due to ship to authorized Brother Innov-is dealers this fall. Designed specifically for quilters, the QC1000 introduces ICAPS Innov-is Continuous Automatic Pressure Sensor to the quilting industry. This fabric sensor continuously monitors the thickness of the fabric underneath the needle and automatically adjusts the pressure of the presser foot assuring precise, even stitches over varying fabric thicknesses. "We are delighted to bring this product to market this fall," said Dean F. Shulman, a Brother vice-president and head of the company's Home Appliance Division. "The QC1000 brings Brother's signature ease of use to the quilting community. Quilters now have more reason than ever to find out what Brother has in store for them." Quilters will also appreciate the pivot function that raises the presser foot while leaving the needle in the fabric with just one touch of a button, allowing easy and accurate fabric rotation.
