(Singapore, 17 August 2007) Sony Singapore introduces the new Walkman NWD-B100 series, a compact, great value MP3 player that makes it easy to connect with ones precious music collection whenever and wherever. Weighing just 30g, this stylish Walkman slips effortlessly into a pocket or bag. Connecting directly to the computer via the USB port without the hassle of cables, the NWD-B100 series adopts the drag-and-drop interface for music and files transfer without any software installation. The newly developed Auto Transfer software built into the NWD-B100 series makes it incredibly simple to load up the player with your favourite digital tunes. This smart software automatically searches and transfers the most recently added tracks from your PC to your Walkman MP3 player, ensuring you are always up to date with your latest tunes. Sony is expanding its range of Walkman players by introducing the new Walkman NWD-B100 series to listeners who wants to gain access and manage their music quickly and conveniently, without the hassle of using any cable and software. This easy-to-use MP3 player appeals to listeners who want to spend more of their time enjoying the music than managing the player while on-the-go, said Mr. Takeo Kobayashi, Managing Director, Sony Singapore.
With the convenient USB connection, one can enjoy all the songs in your Walkman NWD-B100 streaming to Sonys mini and micro HiFi system with the same codec. Extending the capabilities of the Walkman NWD-B100 series are the FM tuner and the voice recoding function. It can even record radio broadcasts so one can enjoy ones favourite segments at any time. The Walkman NWD-B100 series also doubles up as a handy voice recorder, allowing up to 44 hours of recording. It records personal notes and memos using the built-in microphone without the need to scrabble for a pen and paper. Recordings are encoded in the popular MP3 format so they can be easily shared among colleagues and classmates. With a 3-line colour LCD display, the Walkman NWD-B100 series displays a simple menu for easy and intuitive navigation. Users can also search for their desired song quickly by artist, album and song or by the folder and file name. Its 6 different equalizer functions of heavy, rock, classic, pop, jazz and custom mean sounds can be tuned for your listening pleasure. The Walkman NWD-B100 series in 1GB and 2GB of memory capacity is available in colours of black, white and violet now.
