Important Safety Instructions
WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions could result in fire, electric shock, or other injury or damage. Read and follow these instructions to use your iPod Hi-Fi safely. Read these instructions. Keep these instructions. Heed all warnings. Follow all instructions. Do not use this apparatus near water. Clean only with dry cloth. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs and at the point where they exit from the apparatus. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped. Do not place naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, on or near the apparatus. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain, liquids, moisture, excessive heat, or naked flame. This apparatus has no on/off switch. To disconnect this apparatus from power, you must disconnect the power cord. Make sure the power cord is always easily accessible. The power cord included with this apparatus is for indoor use only. Do not expose the apparatus to dripping or splashing and do not place any object filled with liquid such as a vase on the apparatus. Do not move the apparatus if another device, such as an iPod or other audio device, is connected to it. To avoid damaging the speakers, do not place the apparatus face down on any surface. Information such as model number, electrical rating, and other classifications is located on the bottom of the apparatus.

Avoid Hearing Damage

Permanent hearing loss may occur if your iPod Hi-Fi is used at high volume. Set the volume to a safe level. You can adapt over time to a higher volume of sound that may sound normal but can be damaging to your hearing. If you experience ringing in your ears or muffled speech, then stop listening and have your hearing checked. The louder the volume, the less time required before your hearing could be affected. Hearing experts suggest that to protect your hearing: Limit the amount of time you listen at high volume. Avoid turning up the volume to block out noisy surroundings. Turn down the volume if you cant hear people speaking near you.
