The Veriton 7600G incorporates the Intel 865G chipset (codenamed Springdale-G) while delivering the desktop features required by power-users. Offering the Intel Pentium 4 processor with HyperThreading technology, the Veriton 7600G is designed for environments where multitasking is commonplace and performance is mandatory. The new Veriton 7600G delivers an outstanding combination of speed and features for customers who demand a no-nonsense solution, said Jeff Chen, director of desktop products at Acer America. By including the latest Intel processor, along with a wide variety of options, users can customize their solution according to individual requirements. Fully Featured, Designed for Corporate Environments With Pentium 4 speeds up to 3.0 GHz at 800MHz Front Side Bus, and up to 4 GB DDR 400 MHz SDRAM, the Veriton 7600G enables the most demanding PC users to work faster when multitasking even with processor-intensive applications. Additionally, support for up to 8 USB 2.0 ports and 5 PCI slots ensures room for options when adding peripherals and expansion cards. A powerful solution for bandwidth hungry business environments, the Veriton 7600G features dual channel DDR (Dual Data Rate) memory to enhance overall system performance. It supports a Serial ATA hard drive for enhanced performance, larger buffer size and more headroom for future computing
demands. In addition, the Veriton 7600G also provides either an 8x Accelerated Graphics Port (AGP) graphics card or integrated Intel Extreme Graphics to run complex 3D applications. Bundled USB-lock software prevents data being downloaded to external storage media or the upload of external data, including virus, without user verification. The Veriton 7600G also features the industrys first One Touch Recovery button, which allows for the quick and easy restoration to the systems pre-loaded factory settings, without the installation of an RCD (Recovery CD). Intel 865G Chipset The new Intel 865G chipset is the first desktop processor technology which takes advantage of the multitasking features in Microsoft Windows XP and minimizes the impact of background services such as encryption, virus scanning and compression on end-user productivity. Intel 865G also supports Intel Hyper-Threading Technology that enables multi-threaded software applications to execute threads in parallel. Previously, threading was enabled in the software by splitting instructions into multiple streams so that multiple processors could act upon them. Hyper-Threading Technology allows processor-level threading to be utilized which offers more efficient use of processor resources for greater parallelism and improved performance on today's multi-threaded software.
