Fast, highly configurable Heavy, fan runs constantly, locks up frequently, worst technical support imaginable Its design- Its prowess- Its name brand- Its speakers Fans noisy due to configuration- Battery only lasts an hour or so

This laptop is terribly noisy. Earplugs are recommended to everyone who wants to do more than idle Windows desktop on it. I have this "desktop replacement" for about 4 years, and just a few minutes ago I found a BIOS update which fixes the fan noise. :-P At this time. It works nicely for business and web. And its great for the price.

My company bought a bunch, very low quality My company replaced our Dells and Toshibas with new HP notebooks. Mine was dead within a week. Re:save your money When I bought this laptop refurbished, I clearly did not know the problems I was facing-You see, it has an overheating problem.

Company presented me with a HP Compaq lap top for work use in May 2005 with the Windows XP operating system loaded on it & this is a tale of those two... I bought this laptop early Jan 2004 with much regrets later as the intel centrino came just a few weeks later. Weighing at 3. I purchased the Compax nx9010 on a whim last year & its one of my best buys ever.

I have been having problems with it not running... Unexpectedly poor machine from Compaq. Dead slow, weighs a ton, multi tasking is not an option.

Good laptop, but noisy Got this laptop a few years back, was quite fast then, and is still holding up well.Overall the build quality is good.

This is OK and a good business notebook, but it is heavy and the battery lasts no time.

When this model came out, it seemed to be good value for money. It had reasonable features coped with a large 15" screen. However.
