This flat panel is excellent. At the time I bought it, it was cheaper than it is right now! I bought this monitor earlier this month from Newegg.

Got this monitor a week ego, before this one tried 2 other ones, keeping this one, all I can say is wow, nice design, awesome picture quality. Purchased in Feb 2004 from newegg. I was pleased that my monitor had ZERO dead pixels. There is also no noise from the built-in power supply.

Installing Redundant Audio on Acuity Systems with the SunBlade 150 CPU
Welch Allyn offers this feature on all Acuity Systems that utilize a Flat Panel display(s) with integrated speakers. The following Flat Panel display models support this feature: Sony SDM-M81 1. 2. 3. 4. Sony SDM-X82 Sony SDM-X93
Ensure that your Acuity System is using one of the Flat Panel displays listed above before proceeding. On the rear of the Flat Panel display with the Acuity Map, locate the Audio-In connectors. Refer to Figures below for assistance in identifying Flat Panel display connections. Insert one end of the 3.5 mm male stereo cable into the Audio-In jack, next to the video connector in use. Typically, the Acuity System will be using Input 1. If the Acuity System consists of a Primary / High Availability (HA) pair of CPUs, connect an additional stereo cable to Input 2.

On the rear of the SunBlade 150 CPU, identify the Headphone Jack. The Headphone Jack has an orange bezel ring around it, and is located closest to the Serial Port connector. Refer to Figure 4 below for assistance in identifying the Headphone Jack on the rear of the CPU. Connect the other end of the stereo cable to the Headphone Jack. DO NOT CONNECT THE CABLE TO THE LINE-OUT JACK! If the Acuity System consists of a Primary / HA pair of CPUs, ensure that you also connect the additional stereo cable to HA CPU. Trace the video cables from the Acuity Map display back to each CPU if required. Ensure that the video and audio cables from each CPU are coupled together to the proper Flat Panel display input channel. Note that mixing of video and audio cables from different CPUs will cause the Redundant Audio feature to not work properly.
Figure 4: SunBlade 150 CPU Rear View
NOTE: USAGE OF THE LINE-OUT JACK WILL NOT WORK FOR THE REDUNDANT AUDIO FEATURE. THE HEADPHONE JACK MUST BE USED.
8. At the Acuity System, initiate an audible alarm for a patient currently being monitored. 9. Ensure that an audible alert is heard from the Flat Panel display integrated speakers. 10. If the Acuity System consists of a Primary / HA pair of CPUs, use the Input control switch on the right hand side of the Flat Panel Bezel display, to switch back an forth between one CPU and the other, testing the Redundant Audio feature from both CPUs. 11. Use the Volume control switches, on the right hand side of the Flat Panel display bezel, to adjust the audio to the desired volume level. Typically, these are labeled as shown in Figure 5 below. Note that this adjustment will not affect volume levels from the internal CPU speaker, which is controlled by the Acuity software application.
